What's Not to Like

Second time we've stayed here this year. What CL's should be like for me. Quiet, water, elson and a toilet if your not fully self sufficient. Beautiful views across the fields. Spoke to a few other members there and they return every year. 10mins walk to the coast and the Cleveland Way. Nice walk to Filey heading south or Cayton Bay north. Or you can catch the bus to Bridlington, Filey or Scarborough at the bus stops a few hundred yards from the site. Had a nice chat with Shirley (owner) both times we've been there. And a bargain at £12/night.

Great views quiet site

We have stayed here twice now; fantastic site, a large gently sloping field with excellent views of the Yorkshire Wolds and an unimpeded sunset. Only a short walk down a lane to the long-distance coastal path. Basic facilities, but all you need for a night; with a drinking water tap, a toilet plus cold water sink and chemical disposal. Regular buses to Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Can't go wrong for a tenner!

Pleasant place for a short break

Very well situated, 10 minutes walk from the Cleveland Way cliff path so that you can walk to Scarborough (2 and a half hours) one way and Filey (an hour and a half) the other. There is also an excellent bus service, in summer at least. Although the enormous Blue Dolphin caravan park is only yards away, you are not aware of it and the minimarket there can be useful if you run out of milk like we did. The site itself is pleasant with nice views and a sunny aspect, though it can also be a bit breezy. It is simple (and very reasonably priced) with no electric hookups but does have a toilet (but no toilet paper) All in all a very pleasant place for a short break.

Simple place to stay

A basic CL within walking distance of the cliffs. Quiet in November, maybe busier during high season as there are two large caravan parks close by. Good pub within 15 mins walk. Scarborough Fair Collection is a 12 mins walk and very recommendable.
