Lovely small site with nice large level pitches with water and hook-ups, black waste area. Perfect place to unwind.
Easy walk into town, plenty of wood walks and nature, a real doggy heaven. Proprietors friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.
Lovely site
Very peaceful. Made very welcome. Bonus of using the Barky Park to let the dogs have a run. Do follow the directions to find it as it is out of the way by vehicle but footpaths close by for dog or human walks.
Good for a stopover, good value for money!
I would have given a higher score but for 2 issues. 1 in the owners control and the other not. 1st the numbering of the pitches is either missing on some pitches or not obvious. I actually set up on the incorrect pitch and only discovered so when I went to connect the power and saw the pitch number on the top of the pylon so had to then move to the correct pitch. In fact another unit arrived and the couple where wandering around looking for their allocated pitch until I was able to direct them. Obviously this would not have happened had Serge been on site when I arrived. Incidentally he is a very welcoming and pleasant man.
Issue 2: the site is populated by very large Rooks that at this time of year, June are feeding fledglings and make an incredible racket from dawn to dusk! I suspect the Rookery is a constant feature.
On the plus side it is possible to hook up to the water so no need to fill the water hogs. Electric is metered so be warned.
Big Tip! make sure you follow the very exact directions or you may find your self getting stuck.
Perfect site for switching off
From the moment we arrived, with the extremely warm welcome from Serge, we felt all the stresses of everyday life melt away. Dirok is perfectly located for ultimate tranquility, with its sounds of nature and views across the Bedfordshire countryside showing its ideal location.
The site is tucked away seemingly in 'the middle of nowhere', yet within a 20 minute walk you can find yourself in Potton, a little town that offers more than its size; a handful of pubs, a few restaurants and a very handy mini-market for those essential food/drink top-ups.
We also ventured in the opposite direction from the site and found huge expenses of walkways and open land to walk the dog and work off a few more calories to justify the extra glass of beer and wine!
We'll definitely be back to Dirok, especially as it's less than an hour from our own home. Big thanks to Serge (and Gill) for having us at your site. You run the CL just perfectly. :)

Brilliant CL. Lovely welcome, views and walks direct from site.
Be sure to head up the drive towards the bungalow on arrival and then the drive to the CL becomes clear but it does look like you are driving into someone's front garden at first but this is correct. What a super site, lovely welcome and introduction. Good facilities and super walks both into Potton for shops and pubs/fish and chips etc and in the other direction to RSPB Potton for a cuppa or ice cream. Many public footpaths to lengthen or shorten your walk.
We had a lovely stay and as well as walking from site visited St Neots, a walk South down the River from there brings you to the Riverside Mill which is so pretty for drinks and food. St Neots park/River centre is worth a little look as well.
Loved the site, pretty flat, HUGE pitches and the owners were good and accommodating. We used 29 units of electric over the 3 nights so didn't have to pay any extra as 10 units a night was included.
Relaxing Bank Holiday weekend!
We had a lovely weekend at Dirok, which is a peaceful site with views across farmland. Very dog friendly with use of enclosed field (Barky Park) which is available to book during the day, or free to use after hours (check with owner). There are also some very pleasant dog walks straight from the site. Pitches are well spaced with plenty of room, all have electric and most seem to have their own water tap. Short walk into Potton, I would recommend a Sunday roast at the Royal Oak, even vegan options! We will definitely be returning to this site.
FANTASTIC 7 Night stay
What a site quiet and peacefull,Greeted by the owner Serge shortley after arival extremely pleasant people nothing is a problem and made very welcome Fantastic walks streight out of the gate fron the site, short walk to the local pub at Potton The Royal Oak fantastic meals The Indian and Chip shop is also great,As with many sites you need to use GREEN fluid,The water taps have a splitter on them so if you have the mains conetor kit for your aqua roll you can hook up the water feed
Without a doubt i will be returning to this fantastic CL again in the future
Love this site!!
Needed a stop off site for a couple of nights, booked last minute. Must point out that this was over the couple of days where temperatures broke all records (july 22). Serge greeted me and was very welcoming, i have a very large Winnebago Motorhome towing a car too, access was easy and the pitches are really nice and big, parked on pitch 6 next to a large shady tree, i honestly felt like i was in an olive grove, with the heat and scenery and tranquility, was perfect, i like simple.
Access for 35ft american motorhome plus 12ft of tow car very doable
Will definately keep this site on my touring list.
A lovely example of a CL
A friendly welcome, good services and plenty of space. Dog park next to the site which can be used out of hours. Close enough to A1 to be a useful stop off but far enough away to have zero traffic noise. We really like it here.
