Excellent, peaceful CL

What a lovely CL this is. Electricity and water on every pitch, flat grass pitches, and a friendly welcome. We had never been to this area before, but will venture back at some stage. The cl is very peaceful, and relaxing, and you are made to feel very welcome. Yes its a basic cl, but what more do you need. Lovely area to explore, and very flat if you are cycling or walking. Good coffee shop a few minutes from the site in the local garden centre, and a great value pub 5 minutes walk into the village. Withernsea has all the shops you need including supermarkets and a butchers. Don't miss the nuclear bunker close by as its fascinating, and spurn point is well worth a visit. A bit of a hidden gem really - give it a try!!!

What a great place to stay, so friendly and well organised. Perfect

This was our first week's stay on a CL site. What a gem of a place. The site is really easy to find, the lane in is narrow, but has wide verges and is easy to see what is coming, but it is so quiet, it is not a problem. We pitched up, and had our own tap and waste point, a real bonus. Plenty of room around us, very flat, lovely bird song and sheep in the background. We bought a couple of jars of the wonderful strawberry jam, made by Heather, the farm and CL owner. What a nice and welcoming person and place. Thank you for a great time.

A First Class CL site

We have just returned from our first visit to Eastfield Farm. Its a fantastic site and the welcome you get on arrival is excellent. The site is well maintained with individual fresh water tap and waste water discharge on each pitch. No issue with the Electric which we have had at other sites we have stayed on. There is a good walk along a very quiet lane for Dog walking. The site is very peaceful and relaxing but close to the sea and town of Withernsea. We have already booked to go back as we loved the peace and quiet. Full Recomend a stay at Eastfield Farm CL site. Excellent.

Faultless

What a superb CL this is. Have just spent 13 nights here. All the family are very friendly and helpful, and the CL itself is brilliant. We were visited most days by the resident hens no doubt looking for scraps, and the sheep, pheasants and owls made themselves known. Very peaceful, and extremely well laid out. I had an issue trying to get off, when the Motor home decided to bed into the grass. Again no problem, pulled out by the 4x4. Heather's jam is gorgeous, and the hens obliged with nice eggs. Individual taps to each pitch was a bonus. This is an exemplary example of what a CL should be. Well done Heather and Harold.

Simply the Best

We have had 2 stays at this site recently the 1st in July when we only had time to pick strawberries and buy some scrummy home made strawberry jam before a call from home meant we had to return, as a medical emergency with family dictated we cut our 2 week hols short! Heather and Harold were great when we had to go early but we promised to return. So medical emergency over, the 2nd time was 2 weeks in early September and we returned to a warm welcome from Heather, Harold and Peter. We had a great relaxing 2 weeks and visited some of the local sights. We were just happy walking locally through the public footpath fields-great with the dog, sitting and watching the sheep, ponies and friendly chickens that visited daily (who's eggs were lovely). There was always time for a chat with anyone from the farm that passed. We did have high winds on 1 night and several episodes of rain but the fields is sheltered and the pitches well draining, so no problems. We will certainly return soon.

Hidden gem

Spent a week at this site second week in May. Beautiful, well kept site with water on every pitch. Pitches well spaced and level, easy access to Hull and all nearby villages and towns. Heather was very welcoming and friendly nothing a bother to her. Will definitely return to this site. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Perfect CL, hidden Gem

This is a well kept and tidy CL with the added bonus of drinking water taps at every pitch, we wish ALL CLs were like this, what a good idea. Plus as this is a working farm you can get fresh free range eggs & home made jam when the season permits. There is a local pub within 10 mins walk that sells good hand pumped beer but be aware the opening times vary somewhat. Withernsea is within a 30mins walk where you can find a Tesco's & Aldi. Cycling from the site is easy along country lanes, even the B roads were quiet, even in August. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We will definatley use this site again & would recommend it without hesitation.

A perfect CL.

We arrived here last Thursday for a ten night stay and were warmly welcomed by our hosts. This is a working farm but in the field behind us are a handful of sheep and chickens - seriously cute. The strawberries are plentiful and delicious so I highly recommend a stay during their season. The site is so peaceful and having a water supply to each pitch is amazing. There's plenty to see and do within a 15 mile radius with Burton Constable not far away and Withernsea, Hornsea and Bridlington all reasonably close by.

Very peaceful week

We've just had a lovely peaceful week at this CL. One other van there when we arrived then we were on our own til Thursday. Nice for us but such a shame because it's such a lovely place. We found enough to do something everyday - the nuclear bunker, Fort Paull, Hornsea, The Deep, Humber Bridge visitor centre, the Spurn Head Safari and of course Withernsea . It's been a lovely lazy week which is exactly what we wanted. And yes, we picked lots of lovely strawberries. The owners even let us in a bit earlier on our last day so that we could pick enough to bring home and make jam. Got 10 jars and it's absolutely delicious!! We've really enjoyed our week and would recommend this site to anyone wanting a peaceful time.

Really enjoyed our stay.

We have just had 5 nights at this lovely CL. We were made very welcome by Mrs Jobling and the pitches were as described with electric hook up and each with its own water supply. At the site entrance there is a notice board full of info & local attractions. The site is ideally placed to visit many different places within an hours drive. We had our 2 year old granddaughter with us; she really enjoyed playing on the CL and watching the hens and sheep in the adjoining paddock. We were there just as the pick your own strawberries were ready on the farm, the red face of our granddaughter, covered in strawberries showed how much she enjoyed her first experience of PYO. Most evenings we were lucky enough to see a beautiful barn owl flying over the caravan, Can’t wait to return.
