Peaceful CL

This was our first visit to this peaceful CL site and we would certainly stay again. The gravel pitches are level and well drained, with shrub borders separating each one. Fresh water and grey waste water drainage points are easily accessible, although it is worth noting that the water pressure near pitch 1 is much better than by pitch 3. The washing and toilet facilities are clean and the disposal point undercover. The dog walk and field are great spaces, but as there had been so much recent rain we couldn't take full advantage of them on this trip. Angela is a welcoming host and very easy to communicate with. It is easy to see why this CL has so many return visitors. I hope we will be among them.

Return visit

Returned to this wonderful C.L. but was not planning it on being via a recovery truck. Angela was not phased when I informed her of our predicament and said she was happy for us to arrive. This is a lovely tranquil site although the dawn chorus starts at 4.00am, beautiful. The dog walk is large with some shade which was needed due to the extremely hot weather. Facilities are very good, well thought out and easy to reach. We plan to return again next year as we have found a gem of a cl with an extremely understanding and accommodating host. Thank you Angela for everything! Yvonne & Dave

Fabulous stay again

Angela, thanks again for a wonderful stay at your outstanding CL. Everything top notch as expected and thank you for the stool in the shower, I made good use of it as mentioned in my last review. Met some wonderful people during my stay and spent a great day out with them at Lymington market on the Saturday. We all really enjoyed the bus ride and how close the stops are to the site. As you know already booked for next year so see you then if not before. Nick

Summer 2022

This was our second visit to Edengate and we enjoyed it just as much as the first visit. Angela is a welcoming host and was available to help with any questions, but left you alone to just get on with your break…..which we prefer. The main site is sheltered and each generous pitch is separated with planting, giving everyone their privacy. This visit we stayed in the woodland pitches and enjoyed this just as much, also a little easier to enter/leave with our 8m caravan. It was a little windy and we did end up with quite a bit of foliage on the roof, but this didn’t change how much we love this site. Easy access to the coastal towns and villages or into the new forest…..oh and a very good dog field!

Excellent find

First time at this tranquil cl, it is ideally situated to reach the New Forest, coast and other local attractions. The entrance is clearly marked, and easy to negotiate. The pitches are large and the privacy shrubbery is a lovely thought. My husband is still recovering from putting up the awning we didn’t quite believe other reviews about how hard putting steel pegs it could be. Do not doubt, the hardcore under the gravel will test you and has bent a peg or two. The facilities are extremely well thought out and all are easily accessible including 2 water points, grey water and toilet disposal. My slight issue is I believe the price should include the showers. Angela is a lovely lady who takes pride in the site and it shows! Thank you for such a relaxing stay.

Fabulous CL

Just had three nights at this fabulous CL. Extremely well cared for with individual large hardstanding pitches separated by shrubbery in a lovely secluded and quiet location. Perfect for peace and tranquility. Extremely good facilities - toilets and shower, all spotless. Angela, the owner, is lovely - extremely welcoming and friendly. She emailed us great information before our arrival and had taken the trouble to provide a detailed suitable alternative route into the site due to local road closures. Will definitely be returning.

Fantastic CL

Angela, thanks for a lovely stay at your amazing CL. Everything about it is just first class and has all the amenities that could be expected from a more expensive club site. Fantastic dog walk, shower, toilets, water and waste points all easily accessible and spotless, pitches large and well spaced with shrubbery in between to afford privacy. Loved seeing and watching all the wildlife including birds and the resident deer population. If I could be presumptuous and make one small suggestion, maybe a mirror and small stool in the shower room, us oldies need somewhere to sit down to dry off our feet and put shoes back on. Looking forward to seeing you again next year with our April booking already taken care of. Many thanks again, Jan & Nick.

Just Why

We recently had a lovely stay at this little CL. The owner was very nice and made booking and finding the site easy. The site has an easy entrance just off a main road, but don't worry about the main road as the site is quite a long way from it behind a old garden nursery. There is also a huge variety of visiting birds and a woodland dog walk (we don't have a dog, but we could see where it was) The pitches area decent size with shrubbery in between. Unfortunately for us, and this is by no means the owners fault; 2 caravans arrived on our last day (thankfully), with 4 adults and umpteen dogs of a variety of sizes. Needless to say, this lot sat out in one of their awnings all afternoon and evening drinking, talking, verging on shouting and laughing, until around midnight. It was ok in the afternoon as we just went out, but the evening was another thing entirely. The owner would not have heard them from her house and we didn't want to cause a scene so we gritted our teeth. Just why do some selfish idiots think that it is ok to ruin someone else's time away. We go to CLs for the peace and quiet. These people would have been better off on a large site with club house & all the bustle that goes with it. Please people, try and think of others for 1 minute. Some of us work hard all week and need to have peace when we go away, hence an out of the way adult only CL. We will go back for sure as the site, owner and area are all lovely

Lovely 5 days

We spent 5 nights here and really enjoyed the quiet surroundings. Pitches are well spaced and it was nice to be looking out at the grass and trees rather than other caravans. Excellent spot for coast or forest walk and we hope to return next year.
