We've spotted this CL a number of times before but never stayed there. Arrived at dusk on Friday night, easy to get into with 27' MH and tow car, three already on the site, but plenty of room and choices of pitch remaining. No phone signal on EE or Virgin, one bar on Vodafone, our mobile internet is with 3 and worked fine for iPad/phone browsing and mostly ok for smart TV too, just occasional buffering. Signal seems to "drop off" somewhat late at night. Grass short and well kept, a very pleasant site. The road is busier than anticipated, but not really an issue with noise. Lots of recent mole activity, but unlike previous review, really not an issue at all. There was a field of goats adjoining while we stayed, which was a nice surprise. They were interesting to watch and very friendly if you go to the fence to say hello. A 10/10 from us, a lovely site, pleanty of space, will definitely stay again.
Quiet, bumpy field.
Quiet, small field with pleasant view. EHU, water and chemical toilet disposal. I didn't know there was a shower until I read the other reviews on here today.
The field is very bumpy - we are in a 6m motorhome and we found it hard to find a spot that was level enough, even with levelling blocks. After some overnight rain the bottom end was quite boggy and despite avoiding that, we still had difficulty getting off the site the next morning. There's nobody around, and no phone signal, so we were lucky that there were two of us and we managed to get off with the aid of some mats. That put us off and we wouldn't choose to come back. If it's dry weather and you're in a small unit, it would be OK.
When arriving, follow the owner's directions rather than Satnav which had us going round in every increasing circles!
Quiet site but basic
Lovely site, grass short and electric and TV points available. Great area to walk your dog by the site - not sure if this was official but the 4 visitors with dogs all did this!
No toilet and very basic shower. Not cleaned whilst we were there for 3 nights and I would not want to use it in the cooler months as it's basically a shower on a concrete base in a shed. Lots of cobwebs and spiders! But hot water was plenty and I did use it so not that off putting.
I think £14 a night is steep for this level of basic site.
Peace and tranquillity in beautiful surroundings.
Easy access to site. Closed gate to field which gives a feeling of security at night. Site was neat and tidy and recently mown. We were on our own but there is plenty of room for five vans. Slight noise from lane traffic but very little after dark. I would recommend this site if you are after peace and quiet and easy access to Wells or Stiffkey.
Wonderful little site
After a lovely stay in Hickling we wanted to spend the weekend in Wells-next-the-sea and tour the area, all the other sites were full or couldn't accommodate us either due to no dogs/no motorhomes but we were so glad in the end because this site is a little gem. There's no owner contact and you pay via an honesty box and that suited us just fine, owners were lovely and helpful on the phone when booking. Beautiful views around and good walking/cycling, the sloping was not too bad and after a bit of faffing we got our motorhome pretty level. The little shower was an absolute godsend and just added to the quirkyness of this site. Definitely be back again and thank you :)

Interesting
This is an interesting little cl set within some little hills, during our stay we were surrounded by sheep and flys. The view was rather nice but we were disipointed by the long unkept grass and the lack of a welcome. The price also differs it states here it's £10pn but on arrival to find a large sign that states £14pn and an honesty box to drop the money into on the side of an old shed which contains a shower. The shower was clean. There is no mobile phone signal on this site but a TV areal point is provided and gets a great reception.
Great site
This is one of our favourite cl's,set in a secluded rural location yet within easy reach of Wells. The entry-exit to the site is easy even for longer caravans and the site is safe for children(even though a farm site it is not attached to the farm itself and secured by a gate)In agreement with the last review the site is immaculately clean as on previous years it has always been
Good Holiday
Had a great time . Site does slope but had no trouble levelling my van . site well cut with good views. Would not hessitate booking again as had a relaxing stress free time . Ariel points provided to ensure good tv reception is a bonus as was the "shed" with a shower which was clean ! .Not sure what site a previous member had stayed on but not a true reflection of this site ! I was not dissappointed

Worth a visit
Quiet rural site in a lovely part of the world. Levelling blocks are needed for parts of the site, but it is not difficult if you are used to using cls etc. The field is mowed regularly and tv sockets are provided at hook up points as the reception using the van ariel is poor.
SURPRISE SITE
Arrived at this site and the 'shed' is a surprise alright. It is absolutely filthy and the field was covered in molehills that is so rough and uneven our 4x4 navarra just managed to get across. Worst CL site I have EVER come across. I will be complaining as this is NOT what I pay my cc membership for. We left and found a lovely site nearby that was £2 cheaper with showers & toilets. You have been warned!!!!!!
