An absolute gem

Spent 3 nights at Firs Cottage in our motorhome. Welcomed upon arrival by both Brian and Alison independently, very friendly. Lovely pitches, beautifully maintained, grass mown short and all picked up. Each pitch fully serviced with own wood cladded waste and recycling bins and a pipe for getting rid of waste water. Electricity on a meter cost about £2 per day. Tables and chairs in central communal area to use and fresh flowers on the tables were a lovely touch. Each pitch with its own “garden” with sympathetic planting. Dog waste bin and bags at entrance to site and ability to wander down the extremely quiet lane with the dog right from the site was perfect. Lovely walk from the site into Much Wenlock which is a beautiful market town. If this site doesn’t get Best CL there’s no justice - we will certainly be voting for it!

A tranquil gem

We had a short but pleasant stay (3 nights) in our Motorhome. The site was immaculate and very well thought out. This site is the best CL that we have ever visited. Brian and Alison were very welcoming and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Certainly worth a visit.

One of the best kept CL sites in the united kingdom.

Just spent 9 days at this lovely Cl and what a warm welcome we received from Brian & Alison. The gardens are really special and looked after so well. the facilities are excellent . plenty of room around each pitch and even the waste hose provided . we shall return with friends in the future ,great place to explore from

We said we would be back

Just got home from a 5 night break at Firs Cottage, we visited in 2023 for 3 nights as a stopover, we are so happy to have found this CL, which is the best we’ve ever stayed at in over 30 years of caravan holidays. The area is exceptional, beautiful and full of places to visit, Severn Valley Railway from Bridgnorth. Kinver Edge cave houses, Powys Castle (45 mins away) amongst many others. It seems never ending. We said to Brian and Alison that we would be back, and we did. Fabulous site, so welcoming and helpful. We still haven’t seen everything so I reckon we’ll be back again!!

Great find

Firs Cottage is a beauty, small and perfect. The signage at the gate entrance is clear and welcoming with a warm humour, the garden setting is beautifully neat and colourful and the central lawned island in the middle is well equipped with comfortable garden furniture, perfect for dining out or drinks - weather depending. Generous pitches services with both electricity and water. Electricity is metered at a very sensible rate and paid by card at the end of the stay. Brian and Alison’s welcome is warm and friendly, they are both helpful and super hosts with a very good knowledge of the local area including walks and places to visit. Dog friendly, with walking from the gate for morning or evening exercise.

Tranquil and relaxing

We normally go to large adult only sites with full facilities and after many years of caravaning this is the first adult only CL we have stayed at. This has been a revelation. Quite as lovely as any site we have been to in the past but very quiet and relaxing. So many birds to hear including Goldcrests, Finches and a Nuthatch. Brian is the perfect friendly host, helpfully sympathetic when unfortunately we had to visit A&E and cut the holiday short. We certainly hope to return when health allows.

What a start to Caravanning.

This was our 2nd weekend away in our caravan. our first few days away with our 2 greyhounds. The site is exactly as depicted in the images. Brian knew it was my first real trip away with our set up. The welcome could not have been warmer, Brian helped my get the van situated & levelled using his own pitch specific levelling blocks. Even supplied me with a 25m cable as we had only taken a 15m supplied with the van. As this is our first CL I can’t compare to anything else yet, however to say we were blown away by the welcome, the layout & beauty of this delightful site would be an understatement. The other visitors also made us really welcome offering advice & friendly evening chats. We rocked up to site with a large Coveva windbreak set up. Which i was dubious about, again not a problem, our pitch had plenty of hardstanding to accommodate the caravan, landrover and 16 meters of dog retention . The wife commented on how well presented the waste facilities were & noticed boards full of local info. We will be returning for sure.

Beautiful CL

Just back from a lovely weekend at Firs Cottage. Definitely the best CL we have ever stayed on. So peaceful and quiet yet within easy reach of many places of interest. Much Wenlock is a very pretty little town and well worth a visit. The CL has beautiful, well cared for gardens with seats, tables and sun umbrellas. Just perfect and will definitely be back

Fantastic site.

Probably the best maintained CL site we have stopped on. The owners obviously take great pride in ensuring it’s as perfect as possible. It’s far enough off the main road to minimise any traffic noise. We only were able to stop two nights, but will be going back. At just £21 per night plus electric, which was just £5 for our two nights, it’s great value. We can only highly recommend this site.
