What a Great Find!

We have recently returned from a 3 night stay at Fountain Hill and it’s exactly as described by the other reviews. Joanne and Martin could not be more welcoming, helpful and relaxed. The views from all the pitches are amazing and all the facilities are well kept. Unfortunately the weekend we stayed the weather was atrocious and we didn’t get to see those amazing sunsets, so we shall just have to come back. This site was a great find but don’t tell everyone as we may not be able to get booked in!

Relaxing stay

Just returned home from 2 nights stay at Fountain Hill. What a beautiful site. Gorgeous views over the fields. Big evening sky. Facilities for waste very clean and tidy. Flat ground to pitch up. Warm welcome, not long after we arrived, from Joanne, who made us feel very welcome and had we needed to contact her during our stay would have been happy to do so. Easy walks along the canal, both ways. A perfect relaxing break. Would recommend Pantry 80 20 for an amazing breakfast, 15 mins walk or 5 mins in the car. Delicious!

Excellent

Pleasant and friendly welcome. CL is clean and tidy. Spectacular views over countryside. Quiet and peaceful. Village with pub, shop, etc 1 mile. Pleasant walks along Chesterfield Canal, at edge of property. Plenty of cycling on quiet country lanes. EHU for each pitch. No drive over drain for Motorhomes, but, waste water, Elsan, refuse bins, all in good order, clean and tidy. Bus near entrance to CL, service approximately hourly.

Love this site

Been to this site twice now lovely views with excellent walks along the canal very peaceful and relaxing. Co op in the village is very handy if you need anything nice pubs in the area too. Joanne the owner is very friendly and nothing too much trouble for her, we will be returning again.

Exceptional

The minute that we pulled into this site we knew that it was going to be a great stay. The CL is beautifully placed in an elevated position overlooking a paddock leading down to the Chesterfield Canal with ever reaching views into the distance Joanne the owner already has the skill of leaving you to relax and enjoy yourself but being there almost immediately if you do contact her with a query. It is a new site with 3 spacious pitches and surrounded by lovely walks, cycle paths, local pubs, shops and takeaways within walking distance. We reluctantly leave this review because we would like to keep this all to ourselves but that would be very unfair to Joanne in her new venture Thank you for a lovely stay

Peace and tranquility with stunning views

This is a small 3 pitch site which has recently opened. We were the only unit there and had the most relaxing stay possible. The views from the site is of the horse paddocks and farmland beyond and the sunsets while we were there are stunning. There are great walks along the canal which has its own direct access and we used the decking area to launch our kayak. There are lots of places of interest nearby too. The facilities are all new and very clean. Joanne was very friendly and helpful on our arrival. We will definitely use the site again.
