Ease of arrival/welcome

Probably the best CL in North Wales

We have just returned from an eight day stay at Four Winds Farm. This has to be one of the best CL's in the area. The site was easy to find using the instructions in the handbook. On arrival we were met by the owner Allan Clews who gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our pitch on a level grassy field. Each pitch has it's own water tap. An early inspection of the toilet and shower block highlighted spotlessly clean facilities that were both light and airy. We enjoyed the quietness of this children and dog free site. It's location is convenient for both Prestatyn and Rhyl, both being less than a ten minute drive from the site. We shopped in Prestatyn where the is a choice of supermarkets; Tesco, Aldi and Lidl plus a food hall in M & S. I can also recommend the local butcher in the High Street, the fresh meat was top quality with a good selection of barbeque meats. One day we travelled by train from Prestatyn to Liverpool to see The Beatles Story exhibition. Parking at the station was free and the Beatles exhibition was very good as was the shopping in the city. One of the highlights was an evening visit to the seafront to watch the sun go down over the sea. I took some stunning images. The beaches in the area are sandy. We were sad to leave such a wonderful site and hope to return again soon (probably next time the British Touring Car Championship visits Oulton Park which is about an hours drive from the site).
