Lovely CL

Stayed for a 3 night stay in March met by Sally on arrival who explained everything, although it was a very wet weekend no problem when you are in the caravan as each pitch as its own water & waste water point, no going getting wet filling the Aqua Roll, you will need levelling block or ramp as the pitches have a slight sideways slope. Our first stay at this CL but we will be back.

Loved it.

We have just enjoyed a lovely November week at this CL. The site is very well maintained and laid out, with well spaced and good size hard standing pitches, each with its own fresh water supply, grey water disposal point and 10 amp electric hook up. The site is situated far enough away from the road to make for a peaceful and relaxing stay, plus the views from here are superb. An added bonus is the CL has an information room (with a shower and toilet). Goatfell farm is well positioned for visiting the Peak District National Park and the nearby towns of Leek and Ashbourne. We could not fault anything on this CL, the owners were very friendly and helpful and we would certainly like to return to use this site again. Lois & Erwin

What A Fantastic Site

This is our favourite campsite in our most favourite place. We have visited three times now and sorry Sally and Martin we will be back. Fabulous scenery and great places to eat. The site is very peaceful and expect a warm welcome. Good pitches and facilities. Chris and Graham

Tranquility

We have visited Goatfell several times now due to a warm welcome on every arrival by the owners, to lovely scenery. There are lots of beautiful places to visit close by. The place is always well maintained, we like the fully serviced pitch, which you do not always get on a CL site. We plan to visit many more times in the future. A big thank you to Sally and Martin for your friendliness on every visit. Chris & Caron

Beautifully kept site

Spacious pitches, clearly marked out with own water, EHU and grey water drain. Friendly owners, super views and free-ranging chickens (eggs available to buy). Shower & loo clean and spacious. As motorhomers who like to park up and then walk, the only downside was the distance to the nearest eateries/hostelries. There is an Indian restaurant a few minutes walk away but unfortunately it had been suddenly closed. The grass verges were very long making walking along the roads hairy. However for anyone using their car/motorhome to tour the area there are plenty of local attractions. We drove to Tittesworth reservoir and had a lovely walk with the dog.

A great site

A lovely site with easy access & clear to see the entrance from the road. A great welcome by the very friendly owners Sally & Martin. Large hard standing pitches (you need good awning pegs) with individual tap, drainage & hook up, also a large grass area between pitches on a slight slope so levelling blocks are needed. Good views particularly on the 2 bottom pitches, if you want sun go on the left, more shade on the right. Clean toilet & shower but didn't use the shower. Lots of places to visit nearby with information provided. Will return.

Welcoming and peaceful site

We love this site and have visited about 4 times now. The owners are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. We'll certainly make many more visits here.

Lovely CL and a warm welcome

This CL has good-sized pitches and open views, which is a big plus for us. There was some traffic noise from the road but it wasn't intrusive. The site has a shower room with a toilet and this was clean and heated which was very much appreciated, there is an honesty box for 40p for a shower. The pitches are sloped and in our motorhome we had to use levelling blocks on our pitch. We received a warm welcome when we arrived. It was a clear night and we were able to spot lots of stars in the dark.
