Pitch perfect

We stayed on this site in July 2014for a week. It is a wonderfully open site (can be windy!) with extensive views, plenty of space between vans, clean and welcoming. Would recommend it without reservation. The only improvement I would suggest is that a place be made for a collection of leaflets relating to local places of interest and suggested places to eat with perhaps a comment book.

Lovely CL

If you like peace and and quiet then this is the cl for you. Spacious, level, easy access and excellently maintained. A credit to the owners. Beautiful location with excellent views. Nice walks and cycle routes from the site. Only drawback is that it is very open and can be a bit breezy

SIMPLY PERFECT

Tom and Stacey are probably the nicest/best/most patient CL owners we've come across. Their site has of plenty space,  it's level, well cut without loose grass cuttings, with a clean waste area, and amazing views. In our opinion, simply perfect.

Gorsgoch Farm, a birders dream!

We recently made our first visit to Gorsgoch Farm having read the earlier reviews. What a gem it is, basic but adequate facilities with stunning views towards South Stack, an RSPB reserve and lighthouse. The walks onto the reserve start directly outside the site and even in early July on our evening walks to the many bays and secluded coves we were totally alone....well apart from the seals, porpoises and birds. The weather was superb when we were there which made our stay one which we hope to repeat very soon. Thank you Tom and Stacy.

A Great LocalPlacesOfInterest for our First Trip

We chose Gorsgoch Farm for our first caravan trip and we were not disappointed. The location was exactly what we were after - quiet, scenic and will easy access to the Coastal Path. We had great weather too. Stacey and Tom were very friendly and helpful - including lending me a soldering iron to get our water pump fixed! I'm sure we'll be back.

What else can you want???

Having pitched, looking out of the window of our 'van, and we recognised the view - same as photo 1 on this web page!

It is really quiet here, and there is plenty of room between each of the five pitches - even with the awning up and the car parked alongside the 'van.

Despite the heavy rain that we experienced whilst there, the grassed location drained speedily.

At night, the 'vans on the CL are really in the spotlight - as the beam from South Stack lighthouse sweeps over the landscape.  Tom and Stacy are really very helpful during the whole process of booking, arriving, staying and leaving -  (thanks again Tom for supplying the jack and brace so that the 'van wheel could be changed!).

Couple of things to be aware of, which are not the fault of this CL. Firstly, the postcode of the CL, using TomTom maps, takes you to the farm next door. (Keep going along the road, Gorsgoch Farm has the CC CL site sign where you need to turn left from the road). Secondly, be aware that the road from Holyhead to Porthdafach Beach has speed humps, and lots of them. But don't let these put you off.

Use of Google Streetview before you set off will help in getting a clearer picture of the approach into the CL. (Google maps also shows the wrong location for this CL. It is the farm to the west of the one identified by Google)

This CL is really worth getting to! Would we recommend this CL? You bet!

First May Bank Holiday 2014

We chose this CL because of proximity to RSPB and we werent disappointed! You can see South Stacks from the site the views were breathtaking! Brilliant walks from the site and Holyhead mountain a short drive away (park at RSPB). Lots to see and do within short driving distance. Site is really well laid out and Tom and Stacey are very welcoming. TV reception good (if thats important to you). Well recomended looking forward to our next visit!! Very good site for birders!

Welsh Gem in the crown of Anglesey

Its hard to book a site with no reviews as you might not know what your getting into! So when I booked this site and found out it was NEW and I was the first booking I had my fingers crossed. Should I have worried ? NO. From the moment I turned off the A55 in Holyhead and followed the directions in to Gorsgoch I just knew my wife and I were on our way to a great holiday. A few minutes later we turned on to one of the best kept sites we have ever visited. Easy access off the road through big double gates on to a well mown field. Lots of room to pitch with good space between other pitches. Very warm welcome from the owners who pointed out where all the amenities were. Chemical disposal point has to rate a 10/10. The offer of fresh eggs to buy was taken up and even picking fresh mushrooms for breakfast was pointed out. We are keen walkers, so local maps were provided with great walks (we did them all) The views from this site were stunning looking out to sea and South Stack lighthouse and as the sun went down the sunset was amazing. This is a quiet site but that's what we like, even so it is only a couple of miles to the local shops restaurants & amenities . Its always a dilemma whether or not to pass on a gem of a site to other members, but to keep this to my self would be so cruel.... my fellow members so need to know about Gorsgoch. Thanks for a great stay we wish you every success, your hard work is a credit to you. We WILL be back.

N.B. Google maps does not always put the site marker in the correct spot, it must be a post code thing !!!! Gorsgoch is about 200m to the left of the marker. Its well signposted.
