Off grid but perfect tranquility

We had 3 nights here last week. If you want to get away from it all but also be very close to Scarborough and Whitby, this is the place to be. Andy was really friendly, meeting us on arrival. The road is a country lane for about 2 to 3 miles off the main road but it's easily accessible and the beauty of this make it really quiet with no road noise at all. Treat yourself to a visit here, the views are magnificent. You won't be disappointed. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely and peaceful spot in great surrounding

Wonderful spot in the middle of nowhere, perfect to „get away from it all“! Just basic facilities but for the ones that don‘t need more a really great location. Huge, well mowed field 100 meters behind a farm, far views across the countryside and total tranquility - even if five members have pitched you‘ll find more than enough space to unfold and for privacy! Really awesome!

Simply the best and stunning views

We have just had 14 nights at this superb site.you could not get a better site without electric plenty of space to pitch .the field is always cut to high standard and grass cuttings collected the views are fantastic.it is so peaceful .there is plenty to do in the area.Andy the owner is such a nice man nothing's to much trouble for him he has got a little pond with chairs round it .he also leaves food to feed the fish.you could spend all day down there it is so tranquil .There is a pub which you can walk to(about 20 minutes) and nearby tea rooms so if you want a site between Scarborough&whitby without electric this is the site for you.(Thank you Andy&Ali for the brambles they made a lovely crumble)hope to see you soon 😀😀😀

One Of The Best

I can only reiterate previous reviews.  This is a gem of a CL. Location - extremely quiet and peaceful, surrounded by countryside, yet only 10 mins from the main road and a short drive to Scarborough and Whitby. The CL - A really large field with loads of space. Immaculate site. Bins always emptied and field mowed regularly.  The field is undulating in parts but as novices it was easy to level the van. Good TV signal, reasonable phone and 3G for us.  Nearby there is a lovely Tea Room (great food with wifi), numerous walks nearby.  Andy the owner is really helpful.  For us this is a perfect site.  Note - The lane to the farm is narrow but you can see far ahead to see oncoming vehicles and negotiate passing.

A fantastic location

We have just returned from three nights at this most beautiful site. The owner was on hand when we got there, with a very warm welcome. The site was exceptionally maintained, mostly level and well mown.  The views were absolutely stunning.  Access to water and the chemical disposal were very easy.  Even though the site is a couple of miles from civilisation, access to Scarborough, Whitby and the surrounding areas is very easy.  This is a beautiful site to which we hope to return some time soon.

This CL is a real gem,

We spent 3 night here with our poodles late August 2013 but could have stayed so much longer, There are no electrics however this does not matter to us, as we have solar anyway. Andy the farmer and his good lady Ali are just great, and so helpful. We could not have asked for more, We look forward to returning as soon as possible, as we truly loved the location and views Television reception is good . Phone reception is very poor, but that is not so bad when you want to get away from it.

Secret Views

This was our first time at this site, staying for 8 nights. We have been caravanning for many years and without doubt this is the best kept grass site for the simplicity and efficiency of facilities, and oh yes!! what a vista, hill and valley views - a well-kept secret. The owners, Andy and Ali, and their lovely border collie Emma, provide a very warm welcome. They have lived in the area all their lives and have a wealth of local knowledge. Some Helpful Facts Pitches - with views TV reception 100%, Water and waste water areas - solar lit Local Pub and Tea Rooms – a short walk across the fields to Harwood Village Walking, Biking, - from the site.
