Fantastic site

welcomed on site by Neil and shown our pitch. He went through site facilities and local bus which you can request to stop immediately outside the site. Fantastic site overlooking St Michael's Mount. St Ives and Penzance easily accessible by bus and car. Train from Penzance to St Ives well worth the fare and avoids high parking costs. Would recommend this site to anyone with own facilities. Well done Neil and family.

Just lovely

We have recently stayed at Green Pig Farm and found the site to be extremely well maintained and really welcoming. Views are wonderful and easy access to both North and South coast of Cornwall. Top tip — catch a bus!! Bus stops are right outside the gates and will take you to St Ives one way or Penzance the other. £2 wherever you go and no parking fees! Brilliant. We have been walking the South West Coast Path and despite the weather managed to walk Godrevy - Porthleven whilst staying here. Zennor has a really great pub - ‘The Tinners’. Thanks Neil and see you again soon.

Great CL site

We have just returned from a two week stay at Green Pig Farm and can highly recommend this site (this is our fourth visit). It is very well kept and has lovely views overlooking Mounts Bay and St Michael's Mount. The location is ideal for exploring the tin coast down to Lands End and Lizard and up to Hayle and St Ives. The owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful, will definitely be back!

Brilliant CL

This is a gem of a cl in Cornwall. Very spacious , neatly laid out on a well cut lawn with the most magnificent views towards St Michaels Mount. Good location as well for Penzance and St Ives. Lovely dog walking field adjacent. Nice and welcoming owners as well !

Small motorhome 2 nights

Our first visit to this site and it won’t be our last. Very welcoming and helpful owners and the site is kept to a very high standard. The grass pitches were mown nice and short- like a lawn in fact. The slight slope was easily managed with 3-level ramps. The view over to Mounts Bay is glorious. We used the bus service to St Ives which takes 15 minutes from the bus stop which is just outside the campsite gates. This is a gem of a site and credit to the owners.

Lovely Stay

We recently stayed at Green Pig Farm for 6 enjoyable nights at the end of August/beginning of September. We can't fault the site, which is beautifully maintained and with stunning views of St Michael's Mount in the distance. Neil the owner was very friendly and helpful. The daily task of refilling the Aquaroll, emptying the great waste and toilet was an absolute pleasure with such well thought out facilities! We will definitely be rebooking for next year.

Beautiful, tranquil site.

This is a beautiful, tranquil site which I am a little reluctant to review and encourage more people to come to this perfect location. The site is neat & tidy with stunning views over Mounts Bay and St Michael’s Mount. The site owners are very helpful and friendly whilst being very unobtrusive. You will probably need levelling blocks but we have borrowed them from Peter in past years. We have just left after two fabulous weeks in the sun. Although the weather was very hot there was a pleasant breeze overnight which cooled the site down. Penzance & Ives are very easily accessed by car although the latter is extremely busy (park at the rugby club, £7 for the day) Penzance has lots of shops & 3 big supermarkets for provisions. There are also buses which stop outside the site and go to Penzance or St Ives. Don’t forget to get an ice cream from Jelbert’s in Newlyn. Green Pig Farm is a good location for visiting the area. Very relaxing and peaceful. Can’t wait to return for our 4th consecutive year in 2023.

Pricing

Everything that is said about the site is true Except the pricing. It is not £19 but£24.50 a night. Along with the caravan club prices we feel caravaning is now getting rather expensive. After all we are taking our own accommodation.

Holiday 2022

What can we say, 10 days of mostly lovely weather with only one afternoon of heavy rain. As others have said, the pictures say it all as the views from your outfit are to die for. Shopping in Penzance is ok with Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons all having large superstores. The town of Penzance is worth a stroll if you like traditional shops especially, bakers of which there are a lot. Whilst staying, we took the helicopter to Tresco but if you intend going, take my advice and book early as bookings go very quickly (only 12 seats on each flight). Currently (June 2022) the price to park all day at the heliport is £7 in a secure compound. The site is perfect for those who wish to check out where Poldark was filmed, as a lot of the locations are within easy reach. For bathing, Penzance has an open air lido or of course there are loads of beaches within a short distance. Do not try and park in St Ives. Either drive to St Erth Park and take the train, or catch the bus from outside of the Farm. Chatting to others on the CL, it seems as if they return very frequently. Friendly owners who do not intrude but are there if you need advice. You will need levelling blocks and a storm strap if using an awning in high winds as the site is a bit exposed but I'll take that for the views alone.
