Teddy's Tour

On arrival we met Sarah and Teddy and we were made to feel welcome and were allowed to pitch the caravan in which ever orientaion we wanted which does give you some great views. Site is basic but one of the more honest sites i feel ,not having jumped on the band wagon with hiking up the price. £15 per night including electric with a 16A supply and a good supply of water at each pitch, Easy access and was well signposted. Would definately recommend the Fountain Cafe for breakfast with quality food and very reasonable at £10.50 for a full monty breakfast. Couldnt not mention Teddy who gave me a conducted tour of the farm and the annimanls and is a right little chatterbox so thank you Teddy for the tour and the fresh eggs.

Needs Some Attention

The CL is not signed at all so you need to be careful you don't over shoot the entrance. Basic CL as expected with water & electric on each pitch. The grass needed cutting & the rubbish bins were overflowing when we arrived & had not been emptied when we left a week later & litter was being blown about. It is such a shame because the site is in a lovely location but needs maintaining properly.

One night stopo

Used for a one night stop and was as expected. Its got great views. Nice to have a tap on all pitches. We only stopped one night and it was good. Entrance signs could be better as we missed the entrance.

Disappointing

There is no sign of Caravan Club cl, to let you know you've arrived. The field was covered in sheep droppings ALL over the site, couldn't let the dog have a run around fear of running in it and you certainly had to look where you were walking. The toilet waste hadn't being cleaned for a long time. Will not return

A little gem

What a perfect place for a relaxing quiet weekend. The hosts, despite being in the middle of lambing and being very busy with a farm to run, were really welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to have a look around the farm and meet the pigs, sheep, lambs, cows and chickens. We had some lovely walks and had a fab cake and coffee in the village of Bellingham. Not only did we have electric on the pitch but also water which was very helpful. We would certainly return for another visit.

Lovely Site

Stayed for four nights in early mid June. A basic CL on a working farm with plenty going on. Guinea Fowl, Ducks, Chickens, Sheep will keep you company. Hard standing and grass with combined EHU and water points. Level with views over the surrounding countryside. Quite exposed and it does get windy at times. A mile from Bellingham which is a lovely little town with all the amenities you need. Nice riverside walk as well. Handy for the Kielder Forest / Water and walking on the wonderful moorland. Hexham and Hadrian's wall an easy drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be visiting again.

Seven lovely nights!

A wonderful relaxing stay at this grassy site, with hard-standing to the left of the field, and great views. The young owners were lovely and so helpful, especially when a stray lamb from a neighbouring farm invaded the area behind our van! Bear in mind this is a working farm with accompanying animal noises, but nothing intrusive. The entrance is a little bumpy, and the hard-standing is recycled road-stone, and I did mention to the owners that the signage could do with updating! But for £12 a night it is just about perfect. One water tap and waste dump, again no problems. We would certainly stay here again.

Motorhomer - beautiful views

Perched high on the hills with beautiful views. The site is quite exposed if very windy and or wet. For us on a two night stay it was perfect. Walked down to Bellingham and received very warm welcome at church. Delightful walk along the river and amazing heritage centre. Lots of places to eat. We were there during a storm, can never depend on British weather, would be glorious in sunny weather. Near road but not busy and hardly any traffic at night

Nice...once you get there!

A very scenic site offering great views of the local area. As first time visitors to the area, we had not appreciated how remote Bellingham really is. The site could do with a tidy up. Lots of weeds and rather muddy in places. Mostly level and plenty of space. It is rather exposed in strong winds - with this in mind, we decided to not put the awning up. The entrance to the farm is very uneven and gets quite slippery in the wet. Watch out for the lovely farm dogs - they are very friendly, but do leave deposits around the site. Bellingham is quaint. The Cheviot is a good pub. Excellent butcher in the market place and a small Co-op store. Riverside walks are lovely as is the 2 mile walk up to the waterfall. Anything else is a good drive away! We certainly did not like the A68 north of Corbridge. Not a nice road for towing with many blind summits. All in all, a good site for peace and quiet especially if you want to stay local. £12 per night as of Aug ‘20.
