Enjoyed

Just returned from this little cl after a 3 night stay. Overall it was very peaceful with only a small amount of traffic noise. Clean and grass well kept, sanitisers at the security gate at entrance and also at water taps, bins etc so felt quite happy about safety. Owners very friendly and knowledgeable about walking in the area. I think £20 per night is perhaps a little steep but tbh, I was happy to pay it just to get away and have a break. Would return for the walking alone, miles of moorland to explore x

Fantastic site

Beautifully kept site. Visited it after lockdown and was very pleased at how clean everything was, hand sanitizer available at gate, water points and bin area. We saw the owners regularly cleaning the bins and taps. Felt very secure. Lovely walk from the site along the river Wharfe, either towards Ilkey or Addingham or if feeling energetic up onto the moors. We come here most summers as have family in the area, love the site and its wonderful views.

Great Location

Stayed 5 nights never saw the owners paid by putting the money through the letterbox after phoning the 3 mobile numbers without any answer. The site is well kept in a great location however road noise is constant from around 5 am .

Jiffy the motorhome

What a fabulous site. So easy to find. The pitch closest to the gate was found to be the most level of the 5 pitches. Recycled almost everything. Our long water pipe reached the tap without moving Jiffy. Definitely wish we had purchased an OS map before we came. So much to do and see up on Ilkley Moor; you could walk for days and still find spectacular views. Beautiful parks all over. Riverside walks on both sides. Lovely Middleton woods, on the other side of the river as you leave the Town. Great variety of shops. This was just Ilkley! Bus stop across the road, brilliant. X84 at 10 past the hour takes you to Skipton, again a beautiful town, castle, shops and the Leeds to Liverpool canal walks. X62 to Keighley ever half hour; we ran out of days. We will definitely be back!

Near to Ilkley

Lovely easy access site from the main road with great views and very handy into Ilkley, hard standing with hook up.....Note only thing that lets this site down is no toilet which we would gladly pay a little more if it had one....we will be back.

Lovely site and area

The site is situated in a great location. The owners are really nice and helpful ( also not in your face ) . Having read the other reviews there is not a lot add except to say if you are a Motorhomer you cannot go wrong as there is a bus stop within short walking distance and if a walker great walks nearby. Definitely give it a go I don’t think you would be disappointed.

Ideal Location

On arrival to Hall Croft we were welcomed pleasantly and helped to our pitch. The owners are kind and helpful and the views are beautiful. Pitches are well maintained and didn't take long to set up with water, waste, bins and chemical toilet all being close to hand and easily accessed. The site is in an easy, convenient place to visit Bolton Abbey, Skipton and many more. There is so much to do around this area that you could easily fill a week and still have plenty left over to visit next time you are in the area. Enjoyable, relaxing stay suitable for couples and families alike. We will be returning.

Relaxing break in Ilkley.

Very good directions which make this CL very easy to find and although on a very busy main road, no problems with traffic when entering or leaving. Traffic noise did not bother us, we honestly did not notice it. Hardstandings were good and level with great views across the river of the surrounding hills and countryside. An easy walk along the river to Ilkley which is a lovely small town with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. I can recommend The Flying Duck, good ales and food. If you want a visit to Leeds, the train is a great option with regular return services. Overall a very enjoyable 3 days at Hall Croft and would certainly recommend a visit to this very well kept site.

Good site

This is a good site with lovely views, quite a good walk down the pavement into ilkley, a nicer walk into town vier the river. Good buss and train connections in the town. Find the house and pay and you are left alone. Sites need blocks . Yes hoping to stay again between Christmas and new year

Welcome Break

Hardstanding was a little on the loose side but took rock pegs ok. Excellent views in most directions. Busy road nearby but not obtrusive (behind trees).  Many footpaths around, pleasant walk with the dog into Ilkley with dog friendly pub (The Vaults) before Ilkley centre. Buses to Addingham, Ilkley and beyond from site entrance. We shall be returning.
