Relaxing break in Ilkley.

Very good directions which make this CL very easy to find and although on a very busy main road, no problems with traffic when entering or leaving. Traffic noise did not bother us, we honestly did not notice it. Hardstandings were good and level with great views across the river of the surrounding hills and countryside. An easy walk along the river to Ilkley which is a lovely small town with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. I can recommend The Flying Duck, good ales and food. If you want a visit to Leeds, the train is a great option with regular return services. Overall a very enjoyable 3 days at Hall Croft and would certainly recommend a visit to this very well kept site.

Good site

This is a good site with lovely views, quite a good walk down the pavement into ilkley, a nicer walk into town vier the river. Good buss and train connections in the town. Find the house and pay and you are left alone. Sites need blocks . Yes hoping to stay again between Christmas and new year

Welcome Break

Hardstanding was a little on the loose side but took rock pegs ok. Excellent views in most directions. Busy road nearby but not obtrusive (behind trees).  Many footpaths around, pleasant walk with the dog into Ilkley with dog friendly pub (The Vaults) before Ilkley centre. Buses to Addingham, Ilkley and beyond from site entrance. We shall be returning.

Easter weekend

Our second stay at this CL & a little supprised at the new price. It suits our needs to visit relatives in the area. Once again well kept. Although not an issue to me, road works had started on the Tuesday after Easter so was a bit noisey during our last day.

February Visit

The site has 5 decent sized H/S pitches, all with views across Wharedale to Middleton Moor and beyond. The site is very easily accessed of the A65 and is within comfortable walking distance of Ilkley it's self along a pavement. The entrance way is wide and has a coded security gate, and there is a bus stop a few yards up the road. There are a couple of footpaths close by, one leading down to the river and the other can be use to access Ilkley Moor. Although the A65 is a busy road during the day (especially at the moment as the road over Blubberhouses to Harrogate is closed due to landslips so traffic is diverted through Ilkley) there was not a lot of traffic noise during the night and we were not duly disturbed. It should be noted that the cost per night is now £14, which we consider a bit excessive for a site without a toilet & shower and no information hut. However it's location is ideal for visiting this area of Yorkshire and we would certainly consider using it again in the future.

Our stay

We found this site easy to locate during day light but passed it twice returning in the dark. Nice views across the valley & amenities as described. Traffic noise from A65 not an issue but can be heard. Intend to return as a perfect location to be able to visit relatives. Thank you Mr & Mrs Battersby for a well organised site.

Lovely site

Well situated for Ilkley and the Wharfedale area. Secure site with coded entry to the gate. 10amp electrical supply, All hardstandings. Great views over the dale. You can hear the main road at times, but never unduly so and it diminishes at night time. Clear guidelines on how things work at this site, will be happy to stay here again

Lovely!

Stayed 14 & 15 August 2015. What a lovely well kept site. Great pitches, lovely view, clean and tidy surroundings. So good I wish we could have stayed longer than the two nights we did. Thank you to the owners for making it so :-)

All review scores should have been 5 stars - sorry I cant edit them.

This is how all CL's should be...Perfect

Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of June. Prior to arrival we were given the security code for the gate and on arrival via easy roads, set up on one of the 5 hard standings. There are polite arrival instructions on the main gate. This site is flat and has great views across open fields of sheep and rabbits towards Ilkley. Water, electricity, waste and recycling  are conveniently placed. Site is ideally placed for visiting Ilkely and the moors. There are walks along the nearby river directly from the site.Despite the close proximity of the main road this is a very quiet and peaceful site that exemplifies what CL's should be. We will certainly be staying here again,
