A 9 night stay in July 2024.

A warm welcome to a well kept spacious site with good access to Holt and the North Norfolk coast including Sheringham and Cromer. The site is at the end of a long private lane with a number of houses, it can be very bumpy, so I would advise taking extra care on the approach to the site. There is the occasional loud noise from US military aircraft operating out of RAF Mildenhall, but I did not consider it to be excessive. Overall an excellent CL, which I have no hesitation in recommending to other club members.

Great spacious site

Our favourite Norfolk site. Good spacing easy access and has an appeal at any time of the year. Peaceful even when all 5 slots are occupied. Angela is a dream host available if needed but leaves you to get on when not. We take the motorhome for our daughter to enjoy for a few days at a time. Safe and easily accessible for the coast or Holt. Plenty of space and level well maintained field site.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We have just returned from a three night stay. Spacious level site which is well maintained. The grass is regularly mown with clippings removed and the CDP and areas for general and recyclable refuse equally well serviced. Access is via an unmade (but well maintained) lane with good signage from the highway. The site itself offers far reaching views and during our stay we regularly saw hares in the adjoining fields. We enjoyed long walks to Binham, Wiveton and Morston Quay via a mix of footpaths, bridleways and quiet roads. The online booking system the site uses is excellent and we received a warm welcome from the owner shortly after arrival. In summary, a great CL that we will return to.

Another most enjoyable stay

Just returned from another perfect stay at this lovely site. Plenty of space, great views and a very well kept field. Looking forward to returning in August, we never look for anywhere else to stay when staying in Norfolk.

Fabulous Find

A fantastic site in all respects. It is everything we needed for our first short break here. Good facilities, close to places of interest, nice walks from site and above all peace and tranquility. The driveway up Marsh Lane was in good condition with no pot holes so no problem. Unusually we had a takeaway and meal out. The Thai food from the Crawfish Inn, just 8 minutes drive away, was brilliant and the scampi and chips from the Chequers Inn, Binham was just what we needed after the four and a half mile walk starting from Binham Priory. We will certainly be coming backto see the wildflowers, hares and deer.

Hares and Pheasants

Just back from Hard Farm, this could well become a regular place to visit for us, amazing wildlife, lots of walks from the site and oodles of space, Monkjack deer grazing in from of us, pheasants and Hares frolicking in the field we overlook, and many birds using the pond to bathe, only a stones throw from Cromer for beautiful crab, Wells next to the Sea and Blakney piont, all do good fish and chips, the Wildflower Centre was pretty as was the Water mill. Also enjoyed the strawberries bought road side, The pitch was level, the field mowed and cuttings collected, water and elson easily managed, good recycling facilities as well . Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Another very enjoyable stay

We have stayed at hard farm 3 times now and it’s a very pleasant peaceful site. The ease of booking is a real bonus all done on line and easy to do. Facilities are just what you would expect. It’s a very peaceful site and the views are very pleasant especially on a clear day early morning watching the sun come up over the fields. If your a dog owner as we are this a great site as there are several options to walk them directly from the site. We were very surprised to be the only ones on site. This is great CL and highly recommended if your going to visit that part of Norfolk. Thank you Angela we really enjoyed our weekend.

Peace and tranquility

Just spent a week before the site closes for winter. Great communication with the owner. Large spacious grass site. Good walks from site and all that’s needed for a self contained stay. Road in for access a bit bumpy but still manageable. Even got great weather an unexpected bonus in October 🤣

Lovely CL

Stayed here the first week in August. Lovely quiet CL and kept lovely. Owner very friendly and helpful, there when needed but leaves you to get on with your stay. Super walk from the site, our dog loved it. We didn’t find the road up to the site an issue and sat nav takes you straight to the gate! Brilliant for exploring north Norfolk, we found some lovely new places whilst trying to avoid the crowds. Would recommend this site highly. Hand sanitiser placed at all appropriate points which was very reassuring. We will certainly return to this site. Thank you Angela for a lovely stay.

BEAUTIFUL SITE - WHEN YOU GET THERE.

This is probably the most peaceful and beautiful CL that we have ever stayed on. One morning we saw a muntjac deer on the site and there were hares prancing around on the adjoining field .Angela is a lovely hostess and the large site has lovely grass which is mown regularly. The only slight negative is the 4/10th mile approach lane which reminds me of the Duane Eddy song, 'Forty Miles Of Bad Road.' It serves several properties and is so full of potholes that it will dislodge your fillings, even at 5 mph. The adjoining property owners ought to get together and solve this problem.
