Very quiet

This is a very quiet nice site and was left to our own devices regarding parking wherever we wanted. We never met the owner until day 3 when we paid then which is very trusting of them. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect getaway from it all

Stayed two nights on hard standing. This site is everything we love about CL's with a warm welcome and excellent value for money. All services worked well and absolute peace and quiet. We walked along the coastal bath (just down the road) to the Flamborough Lighthouse and enjoyed a meal in the cafe, excellent. Nice views over surrounding fields and some nice sunsets. Absolutely lovely.

Not heaven scent

Nobody seems to have mentioned that this site is only about 100 yards from a sewage treatment plant and from time to time you are aware of it also in August it’s not excactly a get away from it all place as there is a rally field next door with about 100 vans on another just across the road and people seemingly using the storage field behind to stay in which seemed strange having said all that you can’t actually see the other vans from the site there were 6 vans on site all the time we were there and it’s obviously very popular which I can understand because the CL itself is very pleasant and it’s in a fantastic location so we will be back but maybe not in August

A really peaceful site

By & large the only "noise" here was that of the birds. It is very peaceful. When booking, as a motorhomer, we were advised to come with a full tank because sometimes there are issues filling up, also advised about where to pitch and that if we wanted to pitch well down into the field then we might need two electric cables. There are no marked pitches, the hardstanding is an area of concrete as you enter - easy room for three units. We chose this rather than grass because it had been raining so much, but we were able to park alongside the grass on one side, so could sit out on it. Grass is all well mown. The two water taps are close together & on grass; if caravans are parked in front not possible for m/home to drive up to. However, the track to the adjoining small storage site enabled us to get close enough with our hose & extension hose to fill up part way through our stay. So together with a few cans of water, no problem. A pity there is no rubbish recycling - but you must bag it properly before putting into the large bins. There is a Camping Club site of some sort in a nearby field which was quite busy, quite a lot of units. I would expect at weekends & school holidays that might generate a bit of noise, but this CL, being adults only (there is a pond) and with plenty of space is just really relaxing. Havent seen so many rabbits in ages! Flamborough Head, Dane's Dyke, Bempton Cliffs, Bridlington all worth a visit. There is a co-op and other shops in the village.

Tranquil Setting

I absolutely loved this place and will be returning. Arrived midweek to this peaceful campsite and was fairly quiet but once the weekend arrived it was busy, but it still held the peace and calm on this beautiful spot. The CL was full when I booked but the rally field was available and was told we could park anywhere. There are a few water taps and chemical disposal spots alongside the field and the grass was very well maintained. There are sea views and countryside views so spoilt for choice. If you have not been before it is quite confusing trying to decide which field is the Rally field as there is no sign saying Hartendale farm on it and nobody to ask. It is a 15 minute walk to the village where there are shops and pubs. I can highly recommend the Seabird Restaurant.

Peaceful site in excellent location

The site is extremely well-maintained and the facilities are good. Many walks from the site and a lovely quiet area away from the crowds of the bigger towns. Very friendly and professional owners

Hartendale Heaven!

Such friendly folk running this site, we were lucky and got a cancellation and stayed for two nights! Fabulous location so close to the coast path with the Light house in one direction and the nature reserve and Bridlington in the other. Enjoyed watching the numerous rabbits which live on the site. Mostly level. Torrential rain overnight but no problems driving off the grass. Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here.

Perfect for walking

Wonderful quiet site. Stayed in overflow rally field. No connection with owners other than knock on door for payment on first morning. Great cir ular walk around Flamborough head from site. Everything we wanted for short two night stay en route North. Flat enough. Would stay again

One night stay

We booked this at the last minute and although the main CL was full we were able to book for the rally field (no EHU). The owner was very friendly and helpful on the phone. It was really easy - turn up and pitch. Lovely peaceful field, great access to the town and coastal path. Lady we met the following morning was also very helpful, with tips of where to visit locally. We'll hopefully return to this very relaxing site. Can recommend fish and chips from the village too!

Hartendale Farm, Flamborough...Fine for us.

We visited during a period of heavy rain but as there is a large concrete pitching area close by the entrance this suited us down perfectly. Lots of walks for the site, to Flamborough Head along the coastal path and to Danes Dyke nature reserve in the other direction being two that can be done without going on a road. There are plenty of other interesting places close by, including Sewerby Hall, from which it's a pleasant walk, or ride on the Road Train, into Bridlington, and Burton Agnes House. The nearest supermarket is the Co-op about 2 mls form the site, and there is a Morrisons, with fuel, and an Aldi in Bridlington itself. It should be noted that there is a rally field opposite the entrance to the site so the road could well be busy at certain times. Also at present the building of a few houses adjacent to the drive to the site has narrowed the road somewhat and because of all the rain that's fallen it is rather mucky. However work should be complete early in the New Year, all being well. We would definitely return as there are other places close by that we didn't manage to visit on this trip,
