Great location for local tourist spots

Driving down the road to the site drive slowly as easy to miss the turn in, even though a board was outside. Entrance road potholed. Pitch labelled ready for our arrival although didn't get an option for a grass pitch so on hard standing. Nice & clean, decent Wi-Fi, metered electric. Not like other CLs we've been to as 2 other caravan fields on either side which are hedged off. Lots of dog walks around, & close to Bournmouth, the New Forest, Poole, etc Recommend the Old Inn at Holt for a nice meal out.

Very well organised site

Such a well organised small site, our name was hanging up where we needed to pitch our van and everything that we needed was close to hand, so a very easy stay for us. Wifi connection excellent. Electricity was payable separately, which we thought was a great idea, as the price for an overnight stay is very reasonable. Very tranquil overnight and the owners were really lovely. It's very near lots of interesting places.

Five Star site.

Just got back from another visit to this lovely site which has additional hard standings and extra space.A great location for visiting the many tourist attractions of the coast and New Forest. We will certainly visit again.

Superb and cared for cl.

Harts farm cl review August 2019 This is a really lovely CL, long established and treasured by its owners. The entrance is up a badly potholed drive, but on arrival you will find an immaculately cut (and collected) lawned area, with views of the beautiful thatched house and gardens, and 3 really good sized flat hardstandings, well spaced out in addition to 2 grass pitches, again allowed lots of room. The fresh water, CDP and bins are all very handy, with a number of power points around the field. There are a complete set of well labelled recycling and rubbish bins. The owners are lovely and greet new arrivals. The electricity supply is metered. Despite initial concerns we found after 10 days in August we used less than one pound a day, so in addition to the nightly fee it was really good value, and fair to boot. There is good free Wi-fi, very useful. We heard a little daytime road noise, if you are sensitive to that as we are, but it wasn't intrusive, and none at night. The owners have a small seasonal caravan area beyond the CL, but well screened from it and not at all intrusive. We cycled around, and the only downside of the site was the road outside, which was busy and fast, despite being a small rural road. Once off this road, there are lots of small lanes nearby, and lovely heathland areas to explore. Both Poole and Bournemouth areas have very good cycle paths, (don't miss Upton Country Park) and Wimbourne minster is charming. We found the drivers in the Bournemouth area quite aggressive and impatient. A really good, reasonable Launderette is in West Moors. Overall this is a superb Cl, and good value too!

Suited us perfectly

Stayed here twice over a period of 4 weeks in July, leaving our 5th wheel trailer in storage there, whilst we returned home inbetween. Betty and David are a wonderful friendly couple who keep an immaculate and well run, small CL site. This is one of the best kept sites we have used and a perfect, quiet location for a break away from it all. Close to lots of places to visit, 20 mins from the coast. Ideal for people who are self contained and do not require a toilet and shower block. All the facilities are well kept and easy to access. Empty out, fresh water tap and recycling waste bins. Lovely outlook surrounded by fields and horse exercise paddocks, providing a feeling of being away from it all and amongst nature. Good access and level pitches, lots of space between so we did not feel penned in. David had recently had a back operation and watching him recover so well, with a constant smile, was an inspiration to us as I was waiting to have the very same operation..... which I finally had 3 days ago! Thank you Betty and David for a lovely stay. We will return.

Ideal CL

Visited this site for 6 days. This is a delightful site situated in farmland and surrounded with horses. Spacious well kept site maintained to a high standard. The owner Betty was perfection , very helpful and accommodating, unfortunately we never met her husband as he was recovering from a recent operation. Whilst on the site our 2 grandchildren who live nearby came to stay for 2 days, they enjoyed it so much they didn't want to go home. Excellent dog walks surround the site. Bournemouth, New Forest, Poole and a host of other attractions are all in easy access. I would recommend this site.

Fantastic site

Lovely location, extremely well kept site with easy access to facilities. Grass kept well mown and our pitch was clearly marked on out arrival. Betty was very welcoming and helpful, suggesting local places to walk. I have not completed a review on any site before but felt that this one was well worth the effort. Would thoroughly recommend a stay, you won't be disappointed.

One of the best

This is an excellent CL. Easy to find, good access, well kept and nicely laid out. Peaceful, scenic, walks and lovely horses nearby. Wi-Fi with good reception. One of lowest costing CL's as electricity is metered and costs no more than home usage. This is fair. We spent just a pound each day on electricity. We shall return.

Helpful owners

David and Betty are extremely helpful hosts, coming to our aid when we had a problem with our outfit, similarly with another member later in our stay. It is a shame that there isn't a sidewalk on the busy and very fast B road outside the site, I wouldn't fancy trying to walk to the village or the pub, and it is necessary to take care on leaving the entrance as the 40mph speed limit is widely ignored. That said, the site is way back from the road so the traffic isn't audible. Field nicely tended and disposal facilities are good. Note that there is a separate site beyond the CL used by long-term residents and itinerant workers, but it's not a problem.
