Excellent

Great friendly welcome - told where everything was and the fantastic access to great dog walks - by using a farm track we did not have to walk down the road at all which was brilliant. Graham keeps the site beautifully with carefully mown grass, trimmed hedges and a fantastic display of geraniums. With the hose on site and my Moho hose managed to fill directly from the site. Good ehu, TV and mobile reception. Excellent toilet waste facilities and bins emptied every day.

Lovely stay

Stayed for 5 nights during June . The owners were welcoming and helpful. The site is very well maintained and spacious even though it was full. There are two pitching areas, we were in the first part and it was a manicured area feeling like being in a private garden. The site is next to a road but it is very quiet and I have to say I was not disturbed during the night at all, indeed there seemed to be no traffic on this road. It is a short walk into Holt and also nice walks adjacent to Holt Country Park and also across through the woods to Sprout Hill. We have a dog and the first 100 metres or so of walking is on the roadside but as previously mentioned it is very quiet and there is a grass verge to step onto when a vehicle does come along. All in all very enjoyable stay and I would recommend the site.

Impressive

First visit just a few weeks ago. Pretty site with flower displays, grass is short and smooth like a bowling green! Very handy for Holt and surrounding area. Yes, there is some minor traffic noise during the day but not a disturbance in any way. We will return soon.

FANTASTIC

We have been staying with Mr & Mrs Chapman for many years, about four times a year and have nothing but praise for this site, it has been kept immaculate, Mr Chapman is just brilliant, extremely friendly and very welcoming !! nothing is to much for him always trying to please, it is our favorite site because of all this.

Disappointing

Maybe our expectations were just too high after reading the five star reviews but for us this was the noisiest CL we have ever stayed on. We were on the last remaining pitch closest to the road & entrance and the traffic noise was constant from 5 am through to late evening and occasionally overnight. It is a pretty site with flower beds and hedging BUT we do strongly object to CLs with 7 or 8 outfits on them - in our view it isn't fair on the CLs who abide by the rules. If the 5 van rule was adhered to there would be no need to use the two pitches closest to the road noise.

Perfect CL

This is one of the best CLs we've ever stayed on. The owner came to meet us on arrival to welcome us and to show us where everything is.  The site is immaculate, you feel like you are on their lawn surrounded by flower beds.  We were on the front part, but the part by the wheatfield is equally well kept. Even the strawberries from the garden were perfect. Only a short walk from Holt and it's lovely shops.  Even the weather was kind to us.

Immaculate

Had a 5 night break here in May 2015. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. The owners are very helpful and organised and the waste and water facilities were immaculately maintained. As previously described there are 2 separate lawned areas with lovely views across fields. We stayed by the hedge at the front of the site and there was a bit of road noise at rush hour but not an issue that would prevent me from returning. Easy walking into Holt and also to Letherinsett Mill. Highly recommended.

what a gem!

Ten out of ten for this immaculate CL. We pitched overlooking the wheat field a delightful spot.  The owners are a lovely couple. You can walk into Holt in ten minutes and the site is very  convenient for the Norfolk coast.  Everyone on the site seemed to be regular customers as  we hope to become, finding such a lovely CL has to be top of our yearly visits list.

Tranquil CL

Excellent CL. Very peaceful. Grass like a lawn. Everything is very well maintained. Even the water pressure at the tap to fill your aquaroll was one of the best I have encountered. Owner friendly but doesn't impose. Had a very restful 4 days here and highly recommend it if you seek peace and quiet. Four miles away is the Wiveton Bell pub - reasonably priced good food.

Hawthorne Farm CL - worth the 5*

Just spent 6 nights at the CL and will return. CL set out into 2 pitching areas - one next to quiet road and the smaller one overlooking farmland (ask for that area if possible). Level lawned pitches with some high hedges to give an impression of seclusion.Friendly owner keen to point out the water/waste/recycling facilities. Within 10 minute walk of the town of Holt and 10 minute drive of the North Norfolk coast with all its amenities. Just what CLs are all about.
