Peaceful site

Easy access from the A55, this site is well kept and edged with border planting that twinkle with lights when darkness falls. The site is really peaceful but with easy access to the White Lion pub just a short walk and Old Colwyn a couple of minutes drive is convenient for stocking up and takeaways. First time to North Wales and we found this site great for visits to Llandudno and Anglesey and Snowdon. Will definitely be back.

Lovely Peaceful Site

This is a lovely peaceful tranquil site situated in the owners lovely garden which is quite quirky with solar lights lighting up the garden on a night time. The site is a bit sloped but the owner has left lots of chocks out which made it easier. Lots of space between each caravan which was great and the facilities were very clean and tidy. We visited here as we wanted to go to Zip World and do the fastest zip wire in the world which was amazing BTW if that is your thing. We also went to Bodant Gardens which is only 10 minutes away which is a must if you love your flowers and plants, that was also amazing. There is also a pub just up the road which is very handy. All in all it was a lovely trip to wales and a lovely site.

Splendid

This site is an absolute gem, tucked away just enough to be quiet and private but not miles from anywhere. There is plenty of room to not interfere with others space. Very well kept and the owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and is firmly on our list of favourites.

Fabulous little gem

What a hidden gem this site is, yes there is a bit of a hill to get to it but it is well worth it!  The field is slopping but there are lots of blocks left out by the owners for you to use, the field is prefectly manicured and the hedges and flowers beautiful with solar lights everywhere.  The owners are very friendly and visit most days to check everything is ok.  It is a five minute drive to the lovely beach of Colwyn Bay.  We will definitely be making a return visit soon.

top class

beautiful site kept immaculate by david and his wife it is a real credit, pub 200yds away we dined in the station in colwyn (on davids advice) and was very nice we would go out walking and get a taxi back from colwyn bay it only cost £5 not bad at all. only one niggle is why the council do not put a blind spot mirror on the second bend is plain daft as it is sharp and blind you need to take care and have a little luck, but all said what a crackin site thanks

Well Worth It

Lovely site within easy striking distance of a number of places of interest. As per other reviews, there is a short hill up to the site entrance but passing places are frequent and shouldn't create any problems. The grass is kept short, borders with flowers and garden ornaments abound (not sure about the headless bird!).  There are plenty of electric points to ensure a variety of places to pitch up. Yes it is a sloping site but manageable. The friendly owner said it was intended to cut out some spots around the site to provide some level pitches which would be great. Would suggest that you read the notice just inside the gate and not disturbing the residents in the bungalow next door. Would definitely revisit.

Top of the World

This is a delightful site but although the Green Book says it is lawned, it does not mention that if you are on the top pitches you will certainly need blocks; we used all ours and had to search for more around the site. Fortunately the owner thoughtfully leaves extras for use by visitors. The access road is very steep, narrow, with parked cars and with a severely tight bend on a hill near the start. Check on Google! The site is beautifully maintained with lovely flower borders around the edge, a friendly owner and lovely views. It's very quiet and there is a great pub within walking distance. We loved it here and will certainly be back.

A Hidden Gem of a Site!

We spent one night at Hen Efail to see Tom Jones in Concert at Eirias Park. The site is absolutely beautiful....the grass is so well kept and the shrubs around the field are amazing! It slightly sloping but so is most of Wales. We will certainly be recommending Hen Efail to visitors when they stay at our site, Pencraig in Welshpool - we will most certainly be back.

This site is a picture

We spent a lovely week over Easter 2014 at this CL and could not fault it. From the beautifully mown grass to the well kept and delightfully lit borders, this site is a picture. I had read the reviews intimating that blocks would be required, so I cut an extra couple but found I didn't need the extras. We had beautiful views over the hills and the sea (including the distant 'wind-farms'). Very well situated for access to many of North Wales towns and attractions. Will definitely be back.

A November stay

We had an end-of-season break here in November 2010 and it is one of the best sites we've stayed at! The landscaping is beautiful, the site was peaceful, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful (we got stuck in the mud, they towed us out!) and it was very good value for money. It was a bit boggy when we visited but I think most places probably were at that time of year. We have now got a 4x4 but had an estate car at the time which wasn't up to the challenge and, as I mentioned, we got thoroughly stuck. Luckily the owner was on hand with his truck and he sorted us out very quickly. The site is well situated with some nice walks nearby and a longish walk or shortish drive down to the beach. We will definitely be staying here again :o)
