Brilliant CL

Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of July . Great choice of pitches we prefer grass and they were huge. The owners are so helpful and the 'rustic' loo is spotless. Great dog walk on site and Daisy the pony is beautiful too . Good location for Upton and Gt Malvern and some lovely dog walks directly from the site. One word Excellent

Wonderful CL

Although we have been caravanning for many years, we are new to the "CL Community", having only tried out one site before. We booked at fairly short notice for an intended stay of 10 nights, which we subsequently increased to 12 and would have stayed even longer if we hadn't had to get back home for a previously arranged appointment. The site is just perfect with level pitches which are well spaced out in a very large field and, as stated by previous contributors, the facilities are all that you need - electricity, water and toilet. The owners are super people, very friendly, welcoming and always willing to have a chat but never intrusive! Our stay was so relaxing that we are planning to visit again in the near future to visit the attractions in the area which we missed out on during our previous visit due to the incredibly hot weather! One place that we did visit was the Morgan Car Factory for their tour of the facilities and would recommend this to anyone and, no, you do not have to be a "petrolhead" to enjoy the experience - it was great. Back on the subject of the site itself, we would highly, highly recommended and thanks to Lynne and David for a wonderful stay.

Relax and Enjoy

Having spent a weekend at Herberts Field I just felt I had to write a review. We had booked the CL to visit Upton Blues Festival which was schedule for the weekend 19-21 July. It was also the owners daughters wedding. From the onset Lynne was great informing us about the possibility of extra noise because of the wedding but this was not a problem at all,we loved the extra music after being at the Blues festival. Generally the CL would be quite and it is perfectly placed for visiting the surrounding areas,David made a visit to see if everything was ok but apart from that we just got on with it and enjoyed ourselves.Taxis into Upton cost around £6 and being at the festival they were a must although I would think about 30 mins brisk walk would get you into town. Facilities are very clean, the field is flat and pitches well spaced. We all loved our time here and will return-well done Lynnne and David

Peaceful & dog friendly

Looked for an Adults only CL to combine a short break and to break up a long drive I had for a meeting in London.. booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 4 so you can guess we liked it. Great site - plenty of space - a separate field (next to Daisy the pony) to exercise dogs - Lynn & Dave often around but never intrusive - just checking on Daisy, the loo (rustic but spotless) and the site generally. Only four ticks for ease of arrival - great pull in off road but a slightly trickier swing into the field with a longer van. Had a chat with Dave about this and half an hour later he'd moved a part of a fence to make it easier! - he has plans to make it a lot better when has has a larger septic tank installed.. five ticks for everything else! Definitely one to come back to....

Fantastic quiet CL

Well, what can we say! What a lovely lovely site this is - best we have stopped on. owners are extremely friendly, doggies loved it, well kitted out with everything easy and on hand. Loved the "rustic" loo! Great area for sitting and finding out information about surrounding area. Had some great walks on Malvern Hills - will definitely be going back again. Thank you Lynn and give Daisy a pat from me! Sandy and Mark Gordon. X

What else would you want

We have just returned from our four night stay at this lovely site. What else could we have wanted. A level site with amazing view of the Malverns, lots of recycling bins, book swap and a dog poo bin, lots of wild life, little owls, jays, woodpeckers to name but a few. We were made to feel very welcome by Lynne and David. There was lots of local information available. This site is really handy for the Three Counties Showground. We will be very happy to return.

herberts field

Great site if wet weather recently. All road and pitch surroundings are hardstan ding so no muddy shoes. Saying that all pitches are surrounded by a large field so if its dry theres plenty of space for children and dogs to run around. Only one communal toilet which is in a very draughty but clean wooden building. Not a place you would hang around in in winter but fine for emergencies. Very warm welcom e on arrival and owner arrived on site every morning to check all ok. De finately one we'll visit again

our stay at herberts field

we would just like to say what a great site this is, we have just returned from a 4 night break over easter and cant wait to return, lovely friendly owners, great views of the malverns (snow covered whilst we were there) easy entrance, 5 well spaced hard standings,( very handy as the grass areas were still quite wet), lovely space for our dog to run in, central location for sightseeing, and the town of upton is very quaint with a lovely marina, full marks, martin and mandy

March 2013

My husband and I have just returned after spending two very enjoyable weeks at this site. We found the owners very friendly and as new site owners open to suggestions to make your stay with them as enjoyable as they can. The pitches were well spaced and a choice of hard standing or grass pitches makes it an all weather site. The views of the Malvern Hills are beautiful and we were fortunate to have a few lovely sunsets to make it more enjoyable. There are several walks which can be done from the site, and lots of beautiful and interesting places to visit. We will certainly be visiting Herberts Field again and feel we will have to make our bookings early, as this we are sure will be a site when once you have been you will want to return to.

February Outing

This new CL is prefect for those who want a quiet site with hard standing in poor weather or after rain, and a grass pitch should the weather ever improve. Both Lynne & Dave are very friendly, although not intrusive. The site is ideally situated for those wishing to visit Malvern or the 3 Counties' Showground. Although not connected to the owners property there is a security lock on the entrance gate. At the moment the centre of Upton on Severn is block due to roadworks, so I would suggest the best way to reach the site is through Hanley Swan. Turn off the B4209 in the direction of Welland/Gloucester. In 1.25mls turn left at crossroads, sign Upton 3mls. The site is on the left in 1ml. Will definitely us this site again.
