Gateway is not easily visible from the road, but as we had been in the area previously we knew roughly where it was, Gateway and drive are quite tight and you need to stay on the right of the inclined drive to make the left turn into the field. Once on the field the owners will meet you and direct you to your pitch. Pitches are slopping and generous, but caravans can be levelled with the scope of standard feet. There’s a water tap in the first pitch with recycling and Elsan point to the left of the entry gate. Walking down the road to the pub is possible but you need to take sensible highway precautions as there’s no footpath. (After dark I would advise reflective clothing and or a torch). We walked to the stork hotel many times the traffic was conciderate but is used by articulated lorries. There is a public footpath across the fields but we did not use it on our last visit. There are 3 pubs within walking distance and a cafe at the Ashton Hall Garden Center and 1 in Glasson. Nearest supermarket is Booths in Scotford.
'WINDY AND WET'
On arrival the black fence was not easy to see and the bushes on the drive could do with being cut back.
The owner came and told us where to pitch etc.
The large site is sloping with a good outlook, and very quiet, we needed to use the lock n level. which was ok, It is very open so hence the title!!!
At one point we went to use the drinking water tap and no water, was not told it was going to be switched off and no notice on the tap.
The morning we were leaving and asked for the meter to be read so we could pay what we owed we were told to do our own meter reading!
Ideal site for getting into Lancaster and Morecambe.
Walking from Conder Green car park along the track is very pleasant.

Nice CL
We’ve just returned from our second visit to this lovely little CL.
As has been already said it’s slightly sloping but not a problem, and there is some road noise during the day, but very quiet at night.
I particularly liked the inclusive metered 10Kw electric then you pay for anything you use over that. It was our first time on a metered pitch so did as we normally do and were well in at the end of our stay with nothing extra to pay.
We like to walk but the short walk along the road to the nearest footpath is a bit risky because of the bends in the road, so we drove down to the Condor green car park (£1.10 a day, make sure you have the Ring Go app on your phone to simplify paying) from there you have access to as many miles of footpaths and canal towpaths as you manage.

Peaceful
Basic site but kept clean and tidy. Grass mown short and clippings collected. Pitches are large, slope slightly but no problem with levelling. Some road noise but not intrusive. Very nice quiet site. Easy cycle route to Lancaster. As noted site entrance appears suddenly in the hedge so approach slowly.

Quiet simple site
Finding the site was a gamble as directions indicated turning when black fence seen - the small fence was almost completely hidden by bushes! Site is basically a large sloping field, water tap and waste disposal. Location was good and we thoroughly enjoyed a walk along the prom in Morecambe. Lancaster was close by.
Quiet well kept site
Easy to book online, lots of info by email, within easy reach of pubs restaurants and city facilities, Sloping site but easily coped with by caravan legs
Great site
Stayed one night in motorhome £18.50 inc hook up. Peaceful clean tidy site, easy to book and pay online. Clean waste/toilet/bin disposal and drinking water tap. We cycled to Lancaster via the estuary path which we started by the Stork pub about half a mile away from the site. Came back along a quiet single track lane making it a circular ride. Will stay again and would recommend.

Well organised relaxing spot
Just had 3 nights here , easy to book online, easy to find. Its an open well mown site, with a good spread out of hook ups. It is sloping but within caravan leg adjustment. We were after a bit of shade and found pitch 1 next to some trees which was perfect for our dogs in such warm weather. Well organised, a friendly welcome, and used no where near our power consumption allowance. I think this is a really good idea that means we don’t all pay for big users! Pricing very reasonable at £16.50/ night including EHU. We drove around the area, the Forest of Bowland is a lovely route, and had a cruise along Blackpools busy seafront.
Dog walking off site is tricky if you use the footpath just down the road, it is fine for walkers and small dog owners but you have to lift them over the stiles! The best bet is to drive down the road and take the small road by the local pub, The Stork (which looked great but we didn’t use) park free in the car park at the end of that road between 5pm and 9am and have a lovely walk along the coastal path or bike track. Dogs loved it!
A most enjoyable relaxing few days.
Perfectly well managed site.
Quiet and peaceful despite being able to see passing traffic 100m away. Don’t try to walk off site as no pedestrian paths
Ideally situated for a Morecambe Promenade bike ride of 21 miles and heartily recommend the Storks public house (en route and v close by)for delicious and reasonably priced dinner
