Perfect in every way.
We stayed here for a week in August - despite which it rained, as it does in the area, for much of the time.
It's easy to rate a site positive when the weather's good but the true test is when it isn't!
Although with the simplicity of facilities that you expect with a CL, Heron's Wood had everything - easy to find [use their directions - not SATNAV!!] and very easy to enter. Your pitch is marked but we had a warm welcome too.
Quiet and with view of the valley from the top of the sloping field relaxing after the M6 battle took minutes.
Lancaster is 10-15 minutes, the M6 the same so whatever you want to access its easy and quick.
Practical bits - good electric, easy water and waste disposal and clean toilet.
Firm well drained ground.
We will definitely be back.
