Our first visit, four nights in August in our caravan.
We found the site very easily, following instructions on their website and taking a detour which avoids Sutton Bank, on which caravans are prohibited. Roads are good if narrow in places, but we are in the countryside.
High farm was easily found and the CL is opposite the farmhouse on a large grassy field. At the gate we found a card with pitching instructions, and a card to monitor our electricity usage (10 units a day are free, after that it's charged).
I can't rate the pitch highly enough. it was very grassy and very large with great views overlooking the countryside around. It is a bit sloping, so ramps are recommended, but we had no problems levelling.
Once installed we were visited by the family and their friendly Spaniel to check we were settled in.
On the field there is a small facility at the end of the field. this houses a clean and modern loo and shower (£1 per shower), plus a water point, recycling, and grey and black water disposal.
There are lots to visit in the area, but we were there for hiking so apart from a day in Helmsley we were in the surrounding countryside, with a couple of good walks from the pitch itself.
We found the free 10 units sufficient to cover all our needs, mainly hot water and cooking using the electric ring on the hob, though it was warm so minimal heating. The site has a ban on heaters/appliances in awnings, though again we weren't affected. We owed 7p at the end of four nights.
Highly recommended, and I'm sure we'll be back.
