Fabulous little site

Hilltop Farm was fabulous for a wet and windy spring stay. Brian and Tricia were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and site was beautifully kept. Also lots of attention to detail and cleaning during covid. Beautiful walking from site and beaches are fabulous for a good hike with the dogs. Everything a CL site should be. Perfect.

Peaceful site with far reaching views

Very peaceful, perfect for a chill out. Arrival at site was easy, detailed email received on payment the week before. Owners came out as we arrived to explain everything to us and they spent time each day ensuring the place was clean and grass ok. Sanitiser next to water/waste points. We were on a hardstanding, but the grass pitches were in a good state and well drained. All in all a great site. No facilities, but that's not a problem for us. Lots of places to visit, as well as garage, shop and 2 pubs in village, 10 minute walk away. We will return in the summer months.

Lovely hidden gem.

We stayed here for 6 nights in September. The owners were very welcoming and helpful especially when we needed to take our car into a garage which they recommended. Information and walking maps were given to us providing us with all local information. The site was extremely quiet and enjoyed spectacular views.

Well kept site, stunning views

We stayed at Hilltop Farm for a week, and had a lovely stay. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and advised on on all the local footpaths for us to walk our 4 dogs. They had a great time , and the huge recreation field just along the road was a big bonus. Loads of room for each pitch, and the everywhere was kept well sanitized. Definately recommend the New Inn for meals, and the fish and chips at the local shop were very tasty. A great site to chill and relax.

Lovely first CL experience

We stayed at Hilltop Farm, Saltfleet for a long weekend. This was our first visit to a CL having previously stuck to club sites being new to caravans. We weren’t disappointed. Patricia and Brian were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Great walks from site to the beach or salt marsh. Great walks inland too. Lots of wildlife to observe. A walk to St Botolph’s church is a must. Saltfleet is but a short walk and has pubs, we ate at New Inn, and chip shop along with general store. Once we arrived the car didn’t move. We thoroughly enjoyed our first CL experience and will definitely return.

Beautiful CL Site to relax & watch nature at it’s best !

Lovely owners, friendly & Helpful. No Loo’s & Showers, but who needs these when you have them in your own unit. Fab location & even a ‘Hide’ to watch the local wildlife. Tasty Fish & Chip shop close by as are 2 pubs🍷 New Inn, Def worth trying the 2 person Sharer ! We never tried the Crown. Garage with good shop including newspapers 😁 Nice quiet lanes to cycle also main road not to busy. Walk along marshes to the sea. We’ll def be booking again.

Ideal weekend break

After having our weekend to London scuppered (we were supposed to be seeing Hello Dolly on the Saturday) - we cancelled our original CL booking and decided to book a CL closer to home - and somewhere where ordinarily we possibly wouldn't even have thought of going as it is just up the coast from us. Glad we did. We were made very welcome on our arrival and shown where the motorhome water filling point was. As we were allocated pitch no 2 (pitches 2 and 3 are hard-standing) we decided to pitch up as our hose was long enough to stretch from the water filling point to our outfit. Indeed there was an even closer one next to the recycling/waste/black water disposal point - so - motorhomers - if you are allocated pitch 2 you could very well fill up in situ. I think our hose would have been long enough had we been put in pitch 3 too (we have an extendable 100m hose). Mrs Parker came to greet us once on our pitch. She was very chatty and gave us a couple of leaflets for the local pub - we never used it - instead choosing to have fish and chips on the Friday night from the local chippy, which is a 5 min cycle ride away - so our food was still very hot by the time we got back. We noted there was a public footpath adjacent to the camping field, but we were on our bikes and so cycled round the local area - eventually ending up in Sutton on Sea - before cycling home. On the Sunday Mrs P visited us in the morning to tell us that there was no-one else booked in to our pitch, so we could leave in the afternoon if we so wished. We took advantage and walked down to the sea in between the rain (we did get soaked in another downpour on our way back). The walk there and back was just short of 4 miles (the tide was out but on its way in - we checked the tide times as advised). We picked samphire on the walk back and had it for tea when we got home. There is a "hide" on site. My husband sat in it for half an hour or so - but unfortunately - the local wildlife was very much in hiding! Could have been down to the weather - it wasn't the best over the weekend. Saltfleet itself looked a pleasant little village. We never saw the "haunted church" - we were aware of it but forgot to ask where it was. Maybe next time .........

Friendly and peaceful

I stayed here in a campervan in July 2020. The owners were super friendly, making sure to check in with everyone each day to give advice and chat about where they’d been. Great location for walking with numerous footpaths in the vicinity - beach, fields, ruined (haunted??!,) church and easy access to a recreation field for dog exercise. The site is very peaceful and has far ranging views across fields.

Peaceful and relaxing

Just spent three lovely nights here. Easy access (7.2 motorhome) lovely friendly welcome. Lots of places to walk, especially down to the sea to watch the seals. It's a ten out of ten for us. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

So relaxing

Spent five days on this wonderfully peaceful site. Looks quite a sloping site but if you park as advised as we did, we were perfectly level without any adjustment necessary. Wide views across the fields and lovely walks direct from the site. Short walk down a very quiet lane to the village with pub, garage/shop and fish and chip shop (can recommend). Owners so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our chats with them. Would have loved to stay longer but they were fully booked.
