Very friendly

A very clean and well kept site. The owner and husband were very welcoming and friendly, couldn't do enough for us. The site is a haven of peace and tranquillity.

Peaceful weekend

We have to say what a lovely site and thank Mrs Parker for the hospitality given. Great for a peaceful break, plenty of walks in the area especially for our dog. Stayed 2 nights and will be back in the near future. Good flat site with basic facilities. A short walk to the village, with shop, 2 pubs, cafe and chippy. Beech is about 15 mins away.

In praise of hilltop farm

Visited Hilltop Farm at the beginning of Sept and we were the only van on site. Talk about being spoilt with unrestricted, fantastic views across the surrounding countryside. Wild life abounds, particularly as they had been harvesting nearby fields and the deer were on the move. It is a gem of a site. There are numerous footpaths leading from or near the site and the owners very kindly provided a map of the area showing them. Dogs are well catered for with a nearby playing field where they can be exercised off lead. Shops and pubs are within walking distance. The facilities were conveniently sited and discreetly hidden behind bushes. The owners work hard to keep the site immaculate. They are also very welcoming and approachable and we received free plums during our stay which was a lovely kind gesture. Would I stay again. Definitely if I was visiting the area. Highly recommended

Fantastic site

We stayed at Hilltop Farm for four nights but wish we could have stayed for longer. It was so peaceful and open with beautiful views. Tricia and Brian couldn't have been more welcoming. We were welcomed with a bag of plums from their garden which were delicious. We felt so at ease on our pitch. There is a hideout at the far end of the field where you can take a cup of tea or a glass of wine and watch all the wildlife. There is a small supermarket, petrol station and a couple of pubs all within walking distance. As most people have mentioned in their reviews you must try the fish and chips. You won't be disappointed! We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Tricia and Brian. See you again soon.

Perfect

We have just enjoyed a wonderful two week stay at Hilltop Farm. This site is the pride and joy of Tricia and Brian who keep it immaculate, the site has a coded gate entrance, the dust bin and recycling are emptied daily and the grass is kept very short. The owners are happy to help with anything you require from pitching to local knowledge and are keen to make sure your stay is a happy one. The site is in a very beautiful location, close to a recreation field for those who need dog walking. The site has a field drain along its edge which is full of wildlife whilst there we saw roe deer, coot moor hen, weasel, swans and cygnets and Canada geese. There is a bird hide for closer observations. We walked out onto the salt marsh and across the beach and through Saltfleet haven, Gerry pretty. We cycled along the very quiet lanes, watching the combine harvester bring the crop in and the bailer make short work of the straw so interesting. The sunsets are amazing and the views far reaching. Within a short drive are the lovely seaside towns of Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, good coffee and ice cream. We thought the nicest local pub was the Axe and Cleaver at North Somercotes. The local fish and chips were good but large portions. We loved our stay and cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Tricia and Brian for a fabulous stay and being so welcoming. Super little site

Just returned from 3 nights wonderful nights at Hilltop Farm. We had a lovely warm welcome from Tricia. She showed us our pitch and the best way to pitch up too. The ground is a little uneven so you will more than likely need your levellers, but you can just about get away with no using them as we did (basically because we had trouble using ours, only 2nd time out in our van and have a lot of learning to do!), van was a little uneven but nothing that couldn't be tolerated. Tricia helped us with the awning too, there was a bit of a stiff breeze at the time making it really hard to put up so her extra pair of hands were truly welcome :-) The site itself is lovely, well kept with a gated entrance. Pitches are really well spaced out and it's so quiet with a great view. Saw loads of dragon flies which was just lovely but no other wild life sadly. Site is located next to some footpaths and a couple of minute walk to the playing field where you can exercise your dogs which is just brilliant for the early morning and late evening walks. Tricia provided us with some really useful information and a map of the local area as well. We ended up not using any of the pubs in the village, we turned up at the New Inn on bingo night (Wednesday) and the pub was packed so we headed down the road to the Axe and Cleaver at North Somercotes and received a lovely warm welcome, the pub is dog friendly in the bar area but not in the lounge. The food we had was really nice too, we'd go back. We'd most definitely go back to Hilltop, Tricia and Brian made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed.

Can't wait to go back there

Just returned from a wonderfully relaxing long weekend at Hilltop Farm and we will definitely go back there. We received a warm welcome from Tish and Brian the owners of the CL who keep it immaculate and secure. There were 3 motorhomes including our own with loads of space and far reaching views. We took our wine with us into the bird hide, it was so peaceful. Not far into the village two good pubs, we only tried the New Inn which was very pleasant and good draught beer. Great fish and chips from the local chip shop. Definitely recommend it and can’t wait to go back there.

Lovely escape, highly recommended !

We've just returned from a long weekend at Hilltop Farm. We had the whole field to ourselves and the owner's were very welcoming and informative; just the right amount of contact from them to check we were OK and they were very accommodating to us and our dogs. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend and would highly recommend it as a base to anyone visiting the area. The farm is in an idyllic location, with the only noise being birdsong, ducks and geese and the occasional tractor in the fields. Quick and easy access to the coastal roads in order to get out and about. Fabulous fish & chips from the local chip shop and lovely walks along the salt flats and onto the beach.

magical place a hidden gem of a site

what a absolutely magical place. Peace and tranquility in abundance. Trish and Brian are welcoming hosts and have an abundance of local knowledge. The birdsong is inspiring and makes you feel blessed to be able to share such a beautiful place. Piches level, site spotless. Loos very easy to empty I'm five feet tall, no problem here. Sunsets are the most exhilarating, uplifting thing to behold. I had every intention of seeing the sunrise, however I slept so peacefully that I did not have the pleasure to witness them. The hide is just a bonus, and we spent a few hours with a glass of wine watching the wildlife and felt at home with nature 100%. Gentle stroll along the footpaths to the nature reserve which is known locally as "Paradise" and on to the Saltfleet Inn for a refreshing cold one and then met up with friends in the Crown. Village pubs never cease to amaze with their characters and both of these will not disappoint. Across the playing field and back to the camp, to enjoy the evening sunshine, a BBQ and the sunset. A beautiful place with lots to offer, will we visit again? Absolutely. Thank you Trish and Brian for sharing your paradise with us. Jayne & Lea

PEACEFUL MAY 2019 BREAK

Just got home after a superb break on this VERY peaceful, well maintained CL site,as has been said before, everything is within walking distance, and though it says Hilltop Farm the nearest hills are miles away so walking is easy and level. The hide on site gives great views of the surrounding countryside and nearby waterways. If you want a nice peaceful break this is the place to go. Stealing a phrase from Arnold " I`ll be back "
