We have just spent 3 nights at Hollington End Farm and what a treat it was. The only negative (and it is a small one) is that it took a while to get the caravan level. However, Graham very kindly provides lots of blocks and planks of wood to assist so don't let this put you off. Graham is a delight to deal with, nothing is too much trouble and he is very accommodating and more than happy to help in whatever way he can. If you have dogs this is a fantastic CL as Graham happily lets the dogs run free in his surrounding fields (when there are no farm animals present obviously). His gorgeous dog, Sid, had a great time playing with our two Labradors and it was so nice to allow them to run around together. There are great walks directly from the site which Graham will happily tell you about and his recommendations for pubs to visit and where to eat were second to none. You must go to the Izaak Walton bar at Dovedale. The food was exceptional, the staff and service second to none and you can take your dog! There is a great walk along the river at the Stepping Stones, Dovedale – you can do it from the CL but it is very steep and a good 3.5 mile hike (each way!). Alternatively, drive to the car park at Dovedale, do the walk and then end up in the Izaak Walton bar! We will definitely be returning to this lovely CL. It is quiet and peaceful, there is plenty of room and it is well positioned to visit lots of lovely areas including Tissington, the Tissington Trail, Ilam and Ashbourne to name but a few. We were lucky enough to be able to buy fresh eggs and meat from Graham whilst we were there and it was all delicious.
