First caravan trip

We booked Homefield CL for our first trip in our caravan as we like the New Forest and thought this would be the perfect place to explore. It certainly was the perfect place for us, the place is well kept and is in an excellent location for exploring the New Forest. A very successful first trip in our caravan, we'll definitely be returning.

Warm welcome and a well kept site.

We stayed in our MH ,4 nights in March on this well cared for site, all 8 pitches have good spaced flat gravel, and spaciously laid out. Being behind closed gates with CCTV gives added security.Cost from £18 p.n inc ehu but we paid £20 in March. One toilet and one shower (£1 in slot) It was very clean, and the area also had a little small hut with odd things like toilet rolls and barbeque fuel to buy and a good selection of books and DVDs to borrow. Lots of up-to-date local information. Good TV and mobile signals. Nice thoughtful touches in barbeque area, with its own fire pit, with benches in the ‘dog’ field. I use the term loosely because it’s not exclusive and all dogs must be on leads at all times. As my dogs like to run free, and have good recall, I found a field across the road with a public footpath where they could take their exercise and play ball etc. That said, it’s a very busy little road outside, although no noise on site at all as set back from the road. I struggled to cross safely and not suitable unless you are confident as the adjacent fields have horses with electric fences. We also cycled (road bikes) from the site and found cycle paths (bit muddy at this time of year) but it enabled us to keep off the roads to a certain extent. It’s easy to reach the coast by car or by bike.

Amazing CL site

Wow. What an absolute gem of a site. Easy access to the New Forest and South coast. Very clean site, beautifully laid out with spacious pitches. Toilets clean and shower (£1 for 12 minutes) has never ending hot water. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer on site and a covered pot wash and clothes drier. Everything is well thought out. We even had a greater spotted woodpecker on our bird feeder! Complete peace and tranquillity. Would highly recommend this site.

Superb first experience of motorhoming

As newcomers to motorhoming we weren’t sure what to expect when we arrived at Homefield, but if all CL’s are as good as this we are in for a wonderful time. What a lovely site it is! Good directions and easy to access, spacious tidy pitches, EHU and water handy, drive over grey waste. Also a well stocked information room and a shower & laundry room were across the grass. Thank you Julian we had a lovely stay.

Outstanding among CL sites.

Just returned from a 17 night stay on this site. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Julian, who directed us to our allocated pitch, (there is little difference whichever pitch you are on). Very surprised at the site on first seeing it, far exceeded our expectations, well laid out with a gravel access road to all pitches. Nicely secluded from the road down a short driveway and so noise from road was rarely heard. More than ample space between pitches, nice to have hard standing for the van and grass for the awning. The site was kept immaculate by Julian and his assistants. Felt very safe as he had thoughtfully placed sanitizer at all contact points. Nice to have conveniently placed water taps between pitches. The toilets and shower room, were cleaned every day, it was a pleasant surprise to find a laundry room which we took advantage of. This is a site location that is very conveniently place for access to any part of the New Forest within a short drive. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on your site Julian, long may you have success with this commendable site. David &Wendy P

Fantastic CL

First time staying here but definitely not our last. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, a warm welcome when we arrived, toilets and shower clean, good size pitches and a well maintained site. The location is perfect for us, near enough for both the forrest and the coast. 8 hard standing pitches on site so with only 5 vans you always have a choice of where to pitch. Several fresh water points also so always near a tap, information room with a honesty box for essentials, a laundry room was a surprise. I can see why it gets booked up so far in advance.

One of the best CL’s we have stayed on.

We arrived to a warm welcome by Julian who happily showed us around the facilities, he was also on hand whenever we needed any help. There is a lovely little information room where you can also fine a small array of essentials. The shower room and toilets are immaculate and are cleaned every day. You get a brilliant ten minute hot shower for a £1. There is also a small laundry room which is extremely clean and consists of a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The layout of this site is very nice as there is a good amount of space between the pitches which are all very neat and tidy. We didn’t get to use the fire pit but this is a nice feature. We enjoyed sitting on the bench in the field with a cup of coffee watching the birds on the feeders. We had a lovely stay and look forward to returning to this very peaceful site.

WhAt a lovely site!

This site is just lovely. Pitches are spacious, loos and toilets are clean and you get a hot 12 min shower for £1. Loads of places nearby to visit...beaches, forest, towns. I found a good 5km run and my husband enjoyed 5e cycling. Julian is helpful and friendly. We’ve booked for next year!
