A really lovely site

Decided to stay here for a family gathering locally. The owner was delightful and suggested it must be important to still come to the site. Pouring with rain and water flowing across the grass at the end of the wettest March for 40 years. Suggested we site the caravan at slightly higher ground, which was fine. Didn't really use the facilities but all fine. It really is a delightful country site with lovely far reaching views and plenty of local wildlife to observe. Lovely relaxing break and exactly what a good CL should be. Thank you.

Perfect

Idyllic, very peaceful and relaxing. Very close to the Cotswold Way, which is why we chose it. Plenty of space to sit outside. Be careful with the directions as some of the lanes are extremely narrow. Others have added directions. Needed ramps as site is uneven. Will certainly be back.

Great CL. Cvan friendly access via A432 few miles upto R/abt-last exit St Johns Way-follow 0.5m to 'Old Sodbury/Horton Sign on right which shows as Portway but immediately over grid and its Horton Road, follow across lovely common and over grid and follow road until junction, the CL is immediately opposite.

nice cl

This was our first CL, nice site with good facilities, would use again. If using M4 better access from chipping sodbury. The ground was a bit soft because of rain take some levelling blocks good electrics had no problems the lady that owns cl was very pleasant.

Cracking little cotswolds CL

Horseshoe Farm is a cracking little Cotswolds CL. We stayed on Badmington weekend (the CL is within 10 minutes drive to Badmington house) and it was one of the wettest weekends of the year so far. Still a good stay. However be warned. The entrance is very tight. Br very carefull swinging into the narrow entrance. Secondly, the whole site is based UP HILL. Only one pitch is approaching flat and when iot rans the whole site becomes very muddy indeed. It has a toilet and shower block with two cubicals and all the usual services. All are kept clean. On our weekend we had x8 vans and 5 tents...on a CC CL. Seriously, it didnt bother us, and it was Badmington weekend. The sight is pretty and there are good walks all around. Take your blocks! and enjoy...

excellent CL

Hoorah!!! at last, a CL where the grass was cut to a very tidy level!! A very well maintained CL with adequate toilets and showers. Very informal and friendly owner, Mrs Tily. Lovely views, and accessible easily to the Cotswold Way. One minor point, if approaching, with a 'van, from the Horton direction, ensure you swing well out when turning right to enter the (narrow) drive.

Saved our long weekend

Spoke to Mrs Tily on a Friday evening and we were accommodated the very next morning. Plenty of space and hook up points and a lovely outlook over paddocks, horses and distant hills. A very quiet site well located for visits to Chipping Sodbury, Castle Combe, Bradford on Avon etc. Although we didnt use them the two toilet/washroom/shower rooms were clean. Site is sloping and we found it easier to set up parallel to the fence rather than at right angles. You might need blocks depending on length of your steadies. Poor mobile reception on Virgin/t-Mobile/Orange but very good tv signal. We will be back.
