Lovely off grid CL

Booking is easy with prompt reply from Dani, who normally pops in of an evening just to check all OK. Easy access to water and cassette emptying Points. No drive over grey waste. Superb view to Portland Harbour except the day we arrived when a thick sea mist shrouded everything. You can walk locally on a couple of circular walks in either direction. The coastal path is nearby but can be a bit of a scramble in places especially to access the beach. We walked along to the pub but decided the inland route across the fields was an easier option back.

Glorious view

Good sized site on top of a hill with fabulous views from every pitch. Pitches are wide enough to park sideways. The ground slopes down towards the view so we needed blocks under our self levelling feet. Very close to the SW coastal path so great for walks and you can take this path to the Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills. The pub is geared up for high numbers of visitors with very efficient food and drink ordering points. The pub was very busy when we visited and the food quality reflected this. Great pre-arrival communication from Dani and the site was easy to find. I didn't find the site good for cycling as the main road was busy and steep but then I am not a confident cyclist and prefer cycle routes.

Just Perfect

Just returned from a two nights stay at Isle View… PERFECT … Great communication with Dani, the site is just the right size for chilling out, 5 pitches, peaceful with fantastic views, plot sizes great as allow you to park sideways to take in the scenery, lovely location, nice walk along the S W Coastal path to Smuggler's Inn for a well-earned drink and easy drive into Weymouth (you can walk but we chickened out!), stay was just what we needed...Thank you!

Laid out so everyone has the stunning view

Well maintained, ease and short access to grey/black and fresh water points for all. Love the way the forward fence is marked out for 5 sites that allow you to be sideways to the view or facing from the front. As expected it can be windy but possible to move to the back of the field near a northerly hedge and still have you line of site for the view in your pitch area in front (one camper van did this as problems with their awning) Arrival simple after having paid a week in advance you are given the gate security number. Recycling needs sorting out as only a large covered skip with doors at present. Make sure you go to Portland and see the new Memory site and also the carvings in the old Tout quarry. Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills (next lane East) or walk on the coast path, not to be missed.

A stunning CL site.

Fabulous CL campsite, stunning views over Weymouth Bay and the Isle of Portland and lots if peace and quiet. Just what we needed. It's a well kept and tidy site. Excellent location, great beach nearby. It has been run by the same family since 2012. Dani has been really helpful and looked after us well. This site comes highly recommended from us - it was everything we wanted from a CL site. I've already booked again for next year!!

Views are stunning

I stayed in my camper van and felt the wind blow a bit at night as the site is exposed and on the side of a hill. But; that is its main attraction. Beautiful views accross the sea to Portland and Weymouth. Access is via a key coded gate but then another gate to get into the main cmc part. The bin area is by the main gate and only knew as saw someone else use it. And another gate to get into it! The water and disposal point is in the main field though. Only access even by foot is via key coded gate. I only walked direct from the site & visited the beach directly below. There looks to be a big rally field infront of the cmc part which would affect the view when used (Aug I believe). I didn’t see any owners at all during my 3 night stay but their previous email correspondence was very prompt prior to my stay. I would definitely stay again.

Fantastic …..

Fantastic CL, everything a CL should be with the added bonus of unbeatable views. We visited last week and unfortunately could only book 2 nights as would have loved to stay longer. Very well kept, Dani was very helpful and pleasant. Did I mention the views .. lovely. We will be returning

The best

Just had six nights at Isle View, great great great and great. Plenty of space for the caravan, area kept in very good order very simple and easy to drive into the site. This time of the year we managed without an electric hook up just enough sun to keep our battery topped up even with the longer nights. Not having EH sort of makes the site. Nice walks over on Portland, Weymouth with a good to walk along the front from one end to the other. Weymouth harbour area has had a make over, no more rails to trip over.

Lovely quiet setting with magical views over the sea

Exactly what a CL should be. A simple field looking out over the ocean. Water and waste, sunshine and fresh air. What more do you need? Pub and town are both in range of a long hilly walk. Access to the sea is nearby. Very clear communication from Dani all by email.

Fantastic spot

Just back from a great weekend at Isle View - the location and views are brilliant and the owners very welcoming. Easy access to the beach and coast path, and a lovely walk to the Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills. We'll definitely be back here for another stay!
