Excellent Site

Easy access from major routes and the satnav took us straight to the gate. The entrance is set back from the road and I missed it first time around, but there is plenty of room to pull in off the road. John is a wonderful friendly and knowledgeable host and always ready with a wave and a smile and happy to chat. On arrival he made sure we knew where the disposal points were and showed us to our substantial pitch. The site itself is plenty big enough to accommodate even large units on a well kept, level grass area, surrounded by trees with a small river running through on one side. Even the chickens are friendly! The town is only 10 minutes walk away with three supermarkets, a good selection of independent shops and an impressive church. There are bus stops right outside to go into Oxford or Aylesbury and there are plenty of leaflets available showing other local attractions and activities. We had a wonderful, relaxing week there and fully intend to return again in the future.

First class CL

Had a superb time at this excellent CL run by John who is an excellent host and very keen to ensure everyone is happy. Easy access from M40, though entrance a little difficult to spot. Water tap at each hookup. Well spaced, sheltered, and grass well mowed . Level site. Some road noise but does not spoil it. Walking distance to town. Bus outside entrance to Oxford. Cycling routes from site including phoenix way. Would recommend route 2 on the leaflet that John has which has lovely routes over ridgeway. I hope we will be back but site so good it might be difficult to book!

Fantastic Site

We stayed here on the 7th September for a few days break. It's a lovely well maintained and situated site with a very easy going and helpful owner (John). It's just a short walk to Waitrose and to the centre of Thame. A hidden gem. We will definitely be coming back. John, we are now fluent in Italian 😄😄

Simply Wonderful!!!

Stayed here from 12th to 17th August 2020. Not really a lot to add except to endorse all the positive points others have made, great site, fantastic location and friendly helpful owners. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed. Oh and by the way try the Kebab van in Thame - not to be missed!!!

Blast from the past

This great CL reminds me how CL's used to be in the past, a flat green field with a water tap & waste disposable point. Now to the present day we still have the flat green field with large pitching area's plus electric points and individual water taps on four of the pitches. The site is surrounded by trees & water on three sides and a electric gate protects the entrance, giving a great feeling of security. John & Allie are very welcoming and insure you are pitched okay. Their is a WC & shower on site but were closed due to the pandemic but judging by the outside appearance the inside won't disappoint. A great CL give it a try if you are in the area.

Fantastic CL, Little Gem

John the owner is a fantastic guy and very friendly. The CL is an absolute gem with a 10 min walk to beautiful Thame. The CL has secure gates with which you have a key fob to come and go, electric and water on every pitch which are very level. Traffic noise wasn't an issue for us (as put in previous posts) it all depended on the wind direction, but at night all was quiet. Dogs are very welcome and there is a fantastic dog walk around the corner of the CL which a huge field were you can let your dog off. The shower/toilet block is closed due to Covid, but again not a problem for us. The CL is a god base for visiting Oxford which was 40 mins by car, also Bletchley Park 50 mins away which is why we picked Johns CL. If you do visit Bletchley Park and you have a dog, there are brilliant kennels called Villiers Farm Kennels, where they do doggy day care which is 10 mins away from Bletchley £26. Very clean kennels. There are also so fantastic walks from the site if you are into walking, John has a little hut with walking leaflets from Thame on the site for your guidance. The site is very clean and tidy, with the grass regularly mowed. Will definitely return as we didn't manage to do all the walks from the site. Thame is a beautiful town with thatched/medieval buildings. Bars, restaurants are in abundance, plus Waitrose, Sainsburys local and other well known stores are in the town.

Great Find !

We have just returned from a weekend at Lash Lake Barn in our caravan with our 1 year old chocolate Labrador. The site was easy to find and very close to the town centre which has a good variety of pubs, shops, coffee shops and take always. John & Allie are really friendly and welcoming and are obviously proud of their site Which is well well kept with a clean shower/toilet block. There is a lovely walk close by where dogs can go off lead, and a lovely spot to watch the sunset. We look forward to returning with family and friends. Thank you !

Beautiful Oasis in the middle of Town Electric AND Water on every pitch!

This is a wonderful CL situated in the heart of Thame a short 5 min walk to the town centre. Not only are there now electric hook up available on all pitches but there are also water taps on every pitch very useful! There's loads of space and although the onsite bathroom is currently closed due to the COVID restrictions the waste and grey water disposal points are close by. Every visitor gets a key fob for the electric gates and dogs are welcome (ignore listing errors to the contrary!) John is totally dedicated to his site giving personal attention to every visitor and we couldn't believe this was the first year this site has been open as everything is spot on. Easily the best CL we have stayed at in the three years we have been club members.

Cheeky breakaway in the Motorhome post Lockdown

We were tipped off about this lovely CL by friends who had stayed there and seeing as we were looking for a local to us site, this seemed to fit the bill nicely. Access to the site is off the main road and is wide enough to get off the road safely before stopping in front of the security gates. A quick call to the owner and the gates are soon opened for you. The site is pretty flat all over, nicely maintained and feels safe and secure. In part due to the river by the side, the trees and hedgerows surrounding the ground and not forgetting the key-fob operated gates too. John has now laid in EHU and water to the five pitches, which are generously spaced around the periphery. The services are laid out sensibly, but at the time of writing there was no "driver-over" grate to allow motorhomers to spill their grey waste. An option there for the time being is to take a suitable flattish container and void into that before hand carrying to the elsan point. The shower/toilet were out of bounds due to Covid-19 so we didn't bother to look at them. The site is a few minute's walk to a good sized Waitrose and a few minutes more to Thame high street. Perfect for nipping over to top up the beer and gin stocks! The local cricket club ground is less than three minutes away, and easily reached on the level. All in all, a nice little site which deserves to flourish. Friendly, helpful owners too, which is always a plus!

Great Location

Recently had a long weekend at this wonderful CL. A large, very well kept flat field with a river at the end and two resident chickens. There is a great shower room with sink and toilet that was very clean in addition to the normal facilities you would expect, no electric hookup but we didn't need this. John, the owner was very friendly, greeted us on arrival and gave us all the information we needed then left us to it. A very secure site that is accessed by an electric gate. One of the best things about this site is the nearness to a town; a few minutes walk takes you to the lovely market town of Thame that has a good choice of supermarkets, independent shops and boutiques, butchers and places to eat from a light snack to dinner. There is a bus stop practically outside the gate where you can get a direct bus to Oxford; You can hear the traffic but It would not stop us from returning and given the proximity to the town and the overall appeal of this site it is only a minor point.
