Just very lovely.

I'm a repeat visitor here and have now found out how to leave a review. Each access, good facilities and friendly hosts. Well drained grass pitches on a slope but with care a level pitch is easy. Good spacing. The bonus of this site are the bus stops being about 200m away from the pitch. The buses to Sidmouth, Seaton, Honiton and Exeter are fast and frequent during the day. Look at the bus app then walk out to the stop! Sidmouth is well worth spending time in - all the usual small town type shops, amenities and friendly people. There is some background road noise but I didn't find it intrusive and enjoyed the bird song.

Lovely site

Just had a twelve night stay at this very quite site. Easy access from main road. You could hear road noise but not intrusive at all. It is very well kept especially the pitches. We were on pitch 5 and it was really large. The only negative was we never saw the owner once. When we went to pay we saw the daughter, who was very pleasant and whilst we like it when we are left to get on with our holiday, a cheerful hello would have been nice

Campervan Visit May 2022

Booked by phone and given numbered pitch (£18 per night) so that arrival was easy. Site beautifully kept with large pitches well separated from each other but levellers needed. Easy access to site off main road and clear signage. Well situated for bus stop (by site entrance) and a number of local footpaths that can be accessed with a short walk beside the road to the Bowd Inn. Very quiet site despite proximity to road. Toilet emptying and water point well situated.

Happy camper

I called the site at the last moment the owner was very helpful and said she could fit me in for 4 nights but I would have to change pitches for the last night. This was not a problem as I only had to move to the next pitch. The pitches were large with plenty of room and sheltered by small bushes between to make them more private. There is pub within 5 mins walk serving good food. Sidmouth is about 10 mins.by car and is well worth a visit. The site is not far from the main road noise can be heard through the day but the road seems quieter at night. I will return when next in the area.

A spacious well kept site with rural outlook yet close to Sidmouth

Located off the A3052 this is a very large sloping site comprising well cut grass with the pitches spread out along one side and plenty of space between. There are very pleasant rural views all around. The road does produce some noise throughout the day but it quietens down by night. The location affords easy access into Sidmouth and the seaside and the Bowd Inn and carvery is a short walk along the road. The only possible downside to this CL is that dogs are not allowed, otherwise it is strongly recommended and we will return when next in the area.

A lovely place to stay

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. When booking we were allocated pitch 4 which suited very well. Each has plenty of space ensuring a good distance from your neighbours and separated by young trees. The site slopes gently upwards with good views. The water point is central and the chemical waste disposal is at the top end. The site is very well looked after with good quality grass. Access off the roadway is easy once you've learnt which driveway to take and leads past the holiday cottages to the site beyond. There is some traffic noise during the day but not too intrusive. The site is well located for access to Sidmouth and other destinations with a bus stop by the entrance and a good pub within a short walk. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

Very handy for the seaside

Very nice and large well kept site just off the main coast road. This does give some constant noise throughout the day  but OK at night. Pitches are very large (approx 24m each).Well sheltered and open. Pitch 1  does have nearby trees which gives afternoon loss of sun. Very handy for sightseeing being central for the Lyme Regis - Exmouth area. One criticism we have is the owner seems to be inflexible with her booking system so we had to move pitch after 1 night. Not sure why this is necesssary Be careful on appproach as it is diffficult to pick out the entrance. May I suggest to the owner that she places a marker (brightly painted traffic cone or similar) to assist in this

Very nice site

We stayed here two nights at the beginning of April and found the site very convenient for touring East Devon and into West Dorset. The bus stops 50 yards from the site entrance which makes it easy to get around the Jurassic coast area. There is traffic noise during daylight hours but at night  we did not notice it. Overall a very well kept pleasant site.

Very good site

We stayed here in our MH on a sunny weekend in June 13. Beautiful views and nice and quiet. It is exposed to the wind so if it is a windy day you will feel it. Nice 2 mile bike ride into Sidmouth most downhill. Of course you are working harder on the way back. You pay your money and are left alone just the way I like it but the owners are friendly. We will visit again.
