Jiffy the Motorhome

Definitely follow the instructions! We had a lovely welcome when we arrived, receiving loads of local information. Views to die for. Gorgeous site, beautifully clean and tidy. Brand new shower facilities. There are numerous footpaths right out side the site, going down into Hebden Bridge or up onto the moors. OS map is a must, as the sign posts don't tell you where the paths lead to! Hebden Bridge is very quaint. Normal Markets days Thurs and Fri. Craft market on Saturdays and a Food market on Sundays. Takes about twenty minutes to walk down some very steep lanes, but that was great because the bus brought us back up and dropped us off out side the farm! if you are frightened of heights, don't sit on the drivers side, its a long way down! We walked back to the site one day, with a bag of cream cakes as an incentive and it took us half an hour. Beautiful walks both ways along the canal. There are three walks starting from the market square, info from the tourist board. We loved the riverside walk to Hardcastle Crags, you can drive up if you want as there is no height restriction at the car park, but the walk was lovely, and there were extra walks through the woods if you wanted to go further up to Gibson Mill. There are plenty of places to eat out and loads of picnic benches if you prefer a packed lunch. Hebden Bridge has a railway station and plenty of buses going further a field. So much to do, we will return.

Warm Welcome on a Cold Weekend

We stayed at the site on the 29th of November for 2 nights as a first outing with our new Van. We received a very warm welcome on arrival along with a tour of the facilities, the shower room/loo looked spotless, however as it was so cold we wimped out of using it and stuck with our own facilities! The site commands spectacular views and is a very short walk from the Hare and Hounds pub, we didn't eat there but the beers and wines seemed well kept and they are very dog friendly. A 20 minute walk down hill takes you into Hebden Bridge itself which is lovely, there are some nice pubs (especially the "Micro" pub, Calans) and we ate at the White Lion and also at Aya Sophia Greek Restaurant, with food and service being good quality and value at both. If you don't fancy the walk back up the hill, it'll cost you ÂŁ5 in a taxi or there is a regular bus service. There is nothing negative about this site at all, and we will return.

Everything a certified should be...and some!

Situated above Hebden Bridge and close to a superb Timothy Tailors pub, this site is one of the best we have visited. Somehow our SAT NAV had managed to get us on a scenic route to Hebden Bridge which meant we ended up approaching from the wrong direction. Fortunately we met the owners coming the other way and they put us right. So big hint: get to Hebden Bridge via A road first and then use the directions. Tricky in a motorhome but an order of magnitude more difficult if towing. This is a lovely site and it is easy to walk into Hebden Bridge (though hilly). Several great circular walks of different standards available. There is a bus to Halifax if you wanted to visit Eureka or Shibden. We shall use this site again

Our Third Stay

This was our third stay at Little Nook, and certainly not our last. This time we brought our two grand daughters, aged 13 and 8. We were slightly worried that they might not enjoy their week, how wrong could we have been, they loved it. The site is so peaceful and pretty with fabulous views across the valley. The facilities are exceptional and the owners an absolute delight. Things to do in the area? - too many to list. The local town, Hebden Bridge is so off the wall, it has brilliant local shops, plenty of eateries and pubs and a very welcoming feel. In keeping with other reviewers I don't want to say too much because it will make it harder to book in future.

A Real Gem!

We stayed at Little Nook Farm for just one night in order to break our journey to Leeds. On arrival we were immediately greeted by the owner who gave us a very warm welcome. He took the time to show us where the recycling bins were, the drinking water supply and the ttoilet and shower room, all close to where pitched. The views from the site are spectacular and a five minute walk down the road takes you to the Hare and Hounds pub. The pub specialises in Timothy Taylor hand-pulled beer.If you sample all the different Timothy Taylor’s it will take you longer than 5 minutes to walk back!! The food is also excellent - good home cooked pub grub. We were able to buy fresh hens’ eggs from the farm and if your taste runs to duck eggs you can buy those too. There is also homemade jam for sale. There is excellent TV reception We thoroughly recommend this site, though being somewhat selfish we hope that there will always be place left for us.

Fantastic views ,friendly owners.

We have just returned from a super weekend here. We had a great welcome from the owner and a guided tour of the facilities. The pitches are immaculately kept and the views from the pitches are wonderful, although if it had been foggy they would not be good. The bus to Heben bridge stopped outside the site. If your fairly fit it is an easy walk down to Heben bridge, a steep uphill back but enjoyable. The Hare and Hounds 5 mins walk down the road does lovely food and Timothy Taylor's beers. Easy driving reach to Hardcastle Crag and the lovely walks there. Walks also from the site but we ran out of time to try them. It is a working livery so do expect some dirt in the facilities, which as a CL site they do not have to provide. Fresh water and toilet disposal point. Do follow the instructions in the book to reach here and NOT your satnav it can be tight at times but if the bus can do it!! A steep climb but worth it. We will be back.

We will return

This was our first visit to Little Nook and we will certainly return. The owner is so friendly and helpful, right from our phone booking up to our leaving. The pitch was hard standing and level with fabulous views across the valley. We had no issues with the bathroom which was a short walk from the pitch, there were clean towels for our use and the shower was double width. There was an oil filled radiator in the bathroom which could be used to warm up the room if required and we found the bathroom to be clean at all times, of all the CL sites we have stayed at this has to have the best facilities, The bus service is excellent and there is a railway station from Hebden Bridge if you want to go further a field.

First stay at Little Nook Farm

Initially booked on this site for two nights as unsure of our travel itinerary, but shortly after arriving decided to stay for four nights. When travelling to the site approaching from M62 do not turn up Luddenden Lane(as shown by both Satnav and Google as very tight windy road)... go through Hebden Bridge and take A6033 which is the Keighley Road and just before Robin Hood Inn take sharp right onto Akroyd Lane and follow through. We received a very warm welcome from the owner Stephen. The views are absolutely stunning and spoilt for choice with variety of walks. Bus service to Hebden Bridge every 30mins although we walked in. Word of warning it is quite a steep climb back to the site but after the fourth time it gets slightly easier! Hebden Bridge is a small but delightful Yorkshire town with good variety of shops and plenty of eateries. Small market on Thursday. The site is immaculate with wc and shower facilities. Despite some reviews to the contrary we found it absolutely fine and there is a mop and bucket to go over the floor after use. Fascinating watching the horses going back and forth to the stables at end of the day. All in all a fabulous site and we hope to return there. Highly recommended although hopefully we can get a space when we need it with all these brilliant reviews.
