Just Perfect!

A gem of a site! A very warm welcome from Mrs Peers, she is an absolute delight and keeps this beautiful site in tip top condition. Very dog friendly and Mrs Peers always has a pocket full of dog treats! There is even a utility room that has books and dvds to borrow, as well as lots of local info to take away. I highly recommend staying here and we will definately be back!

Wonderful

Our first visit to this beautiful site and we weren't disappointed. Access is via a narrow lane but Paula gives great directions and the lane is narrow enough to stop cars trying to squeeze by so it's actually quite easy. Don't let it put you off just go slowly. Nice well spaced pitches and Paula is around quite often and is very helpful, even coming to the van to warn us problems on the M20 and offering us another night if we needed. A weight off our minds. The site is almost an Arboretum with many varied trees, shrubs and lots of wildlife. An easy walk into the woods across the lane takes you to The Lord Whisky Tea Rooms and there are good (but steep) cycle rides to the villages for a paper, shop, or more tea rooms. Would come back if we visit Kent again. Best wishes to Paula and family.

Weekend Break

This is our 2nd visit here and we love it. The owner is very friendly and on hand if needed. It’s a stunning location with lovely lawned area and 3 hard standings. If you are looking for a peaceful break, this is the site for you. Beautiful walks or cycle rides directly from site into West Wood via the bridleway directly opposite the site entrance. For cat lovers there is a sanctuary next door that you can visit. Please note that shower facility is no longer offered. April 2022 price is £16 per night.

A little gem!

The previous reviews are right. This is a pearl of a CL. Very peaceful. Friendly welcome. Spacious pitches with beautiful, green surroundings. Dog walking in Lyminge forest is literally across the very quiet road. Bliss!

Wonderful...

I really never have been to such a perfect and well managed cl, and this is really down to the lovely down to earth and characterful owner; Paula. Utterly peaceful, immaculately managed, nicely planted pitching area and very generous yet private feeling pitches to boot. Paula is helpful and a fun and stimulating conversationalist if needed, but sensitive to visitors' wishing for peace and privacy. The shower is 50p, but lasts for a whopping 8 minutes. The wildlife around you is abundant and if you are a bird lover, you will certainly be in for a treat. Paula certainly encourages the wildlife around her, even down to a visiting pheasant she nurtures. The beauty of the site isn't all a simple coincidence at all.. the truth is simply that Paula is simply the heart and soul of this cl and her passion translates into its excellence. Really, really impressed :)

lovely peaceful site

Just returned from a four night break at Little Rhode Farm and what a lovely site it is, well kept, spread out pitches and a very warm welcome from the owners. Lots of bird life plus rabbits and squirrels too. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect Weekend

My husband and I just spent four nights at Little Rhode Farm over the Easter weekend. It was absolutely fabulous. It was a bonus that the weather was so kind to us and we saw the most wildlife we've seen outside of the New Forest. There were squirrels and jays and woodpeckers and even a resident pheasant that wanders around to visit all the pitches. The grass pitches are huge and separated by trees and hedges. There are also several hardstandings so the site can be used all year round in all weathers. The site is in a lovely area too. Just across the road there is a bridle path that leads directly into Lyminge Forest. We had a lovely long walk each day and didn't take the car out once. We explored the forest one day and did a circular route around Elham on the second day. Elham is a gorgeous village. On the third day we walked down into Stowting which is another lovely little village. We received a warm welcome from the owner, Paula, who showed us to our pitch. There is a shower and toilets, although we didn't use these as we prefer to use our caravan. There is also a washing up sink which is useful for cleaning the BBQ. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Little Rhode Farm for a peaceful back to nature break and we will definitely be returning.

Great CL

Just spent 4 nights here and have to say it is a great place to stay. The site is in a very quiet area with the forest nearby. There is a Ladies and a Gents toilet,a shower ( although not working when we were there due to changeable weather) and all the usual water and waste points.T.V reception is good. There are both hard standings and grass pitches and most of the grass pitches have a picnic bench. At night a torch will be needed as there is not lighting apart from in the toilets. But this is a bonus as the view of the stars is worth the effort. All in all this is a great site to visit if you are in the area.

Just Outstanding

Only one word to describe this site...... WOW!!!!!!!! In all the years that we have been using CL sites nowhere has ever come close to this. Mrs Peers (Paula) is just amazing, nothing is too much trouble and if you want local info she can give it. The site is located on the edge of a forest so lots of birds and wildlife to enjoy. Virtually no noise apart from the occasional car/tractor using the narrow lane that the site is accessed from and some aircraft which pass overhead on their descent to Heathrow/Gatwick. However they are high so not intrusive. Better is the guy who flies a Spitfire over the site nearly every day, on several occasions we enjoyed him doing victory rolls and barrel loop the loops right overhead. Locally there is a massive amount to do, we stayed for 12 days and still did not get everywhere we had intended to. So we are already planning our return. Access is easy but you must follow the directions provided, if you try and be clever and follow satnav you will end up in a very narrow lane with hedges and trees damaging your caravan. Mrs Peers has a rule, depart by 12 and dont arrive until after 1 pm. You cant go wrong. Wish I was there now!

Great two weeks holiday of peace & quiet for us & the cat

A great site with wonderful owners, the welcome was first class and our cat who comes with us all the time was included in this. The set up was wonderful had our own price of heaven surrounded by trees, bushes and wild life. Weather was great sunshine all the time except on day when we had a thunderstorms and heavy rain which come under the awning but Paula came out to see if we was OK. Great location to visit many different places in Kent Thank you for a great stay we will be back
