Peaceful break - despite the weather!

We’ve just had a very pleasant week at Long Acre, while visiting family nearby. Helpful directions and arrival instructions from owner, who we didn’t actually meet until the day before departure! The site itself and pitch allocated was lovely, under some gentle trees which offered shade (not that we needed it much!). We did have one day of solid rain, the field got very soggy, but was bone dry the next morning, so drains very well. Tv reception was excellent, which was a bonus as it was Wimbledon finals week, and too damp and windy for the beach. We were a bit nervous each time we used the long private track to/from the site, but the one time we did meet another vehicle, we were able to squeeze into a passing area, so no reversing required. The facilities were immaculately clean. I always like a book swap shelf - would be nice if this was encouraged. We could hear the trains, but they weren’t at all intrusive, and didn’t run at night. Garage and Coop both within a half mile and a parade of shops just a little further for take away meals. Large Tesco superstore and fuel within 3 miles at new milton. All in all, everything very convenient for a lovely site.

Long Acre Farm CL peaceful lovely site to stay

Had a lovely peaceful quiet stay on Long Acre Farm at beginning of July, arrived and the information board indicated where our pitch was, a good system! Parking up we were greeted cheerfully by Geoff, he was cleaning the facilities but took time to chat, told us we could use the whole area around our pitch which was lovely. Nice calm peaceful site, saw Roe deer, Alpacas and pheasants and lots of squirrels in the trees around the site. Little train goes past the site in the distance but is not loud or a nuisance, cannot be seen. Big field, clean and tidy, recycling and bins emptied frequently. Quiet and well maintained site. Visited Hurst Castle, lyndhurst, and watched the Race Around the Island (isle of Wight) We will be back for sure. 🦌

Perfect Pitch and Setting

We have recently stayed on this site. Geoff greeted us on arrival, a lovely welcome. We have 5 nights here and what a lovely 5 nights/days we had. The facilities were very clean you could not fault them. Plenty of space around pitch and lovely views of the meadow. We will be back. Christine & Stephen

New Forest gem

We enjoyed a lovely 5 night break at Long Acre Farm. Geoff was very laid back, friendly and welcoming and the facilities were always very clean and well stocked. As advertised there is some railway noise but it really isn't obtrusive and what we particularly found good was how well spaced out the pitches were. We will most certainly return in future!

Lovely stay at this peaceful and very spacious flat site. Facilities excellent and very clean. Great hosts who were very welcoming. Enjoyed seeing the local deer in the fields and down the track to the site. Will definitely be back.

First Class site

Beautiful flat and spacious site. Geoff is very welcoming and the facilities are 5*. The memory of sitting with a cup of tea, watching the deer and listening to the dawn chorus made my holiday. Please don't come here - we'd hate not to be able to get in another time!!

16-22 May

We were hoping to book 7 nights at Long Acre Farm, but the first night of the dates we had enquired about the site was fully booked. When booking, I asked Geoff if he would let us know should he have a cancellation so that we could arrive on the date we had hoped to arrive. He obligingly did this on the morning of the day in question, although in fact having committed to other things by then, we were unable to take him up on his offer. On arrival, Geoff made us most welcome and told us we had only to knock on his door should we need anything. He went ‘over and beyond’ on a couple of occasions when we sought his assistance with a couple of matters. From Long Acre Farm we explored Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Lymington. We took our bikes on the Lymington - Yarmouth Ferry in order to cycle approximately half the Round the Island Cycle Route. We rode deep into the Forest, N of Burley and enjoyed a Sunday Roast in a pub at Sway. A great location, lovely site with clean facilities and most amenable hosts. Would definitely return … Zachary & Margaret Allen

Great CL site

A great five night stay. Lovely and peaceful. Met Geoff on arrival and he was very welcoming. Very spacious and flat grass pitches and spotless facilities. Will definitely return sometime soon hopefully. Couldn't ask for better.

Relaxing 2 nights

A lovely couple of nights staying mid May. We were able to come onto the site early, site flat with generous pitches, able to pitch anyway you desired,. The facilities were clean and the owner was welcoming and helpful.

Peaceful site with generous pitches

Had an enjoyable couple of nights in mid April '23 on this peaceful site with generously spaced pitches at Long Acre Farm. The simple facilities were spotless. The owners are helpful, they let us stay a couple of extra hours when we needed to call out a technician to fix a fault. Like other reviews we did not find the proximity of the railway line (which is in a cutting) intrusive, it did not disturb our sleep.
