Great site in a beautiful area - highly recommended

Great site, facilities were of a very high standard and were exceptional clean throughout our stay. Site was very quiet, even though not far from the road, only noise came from lovely lambs in adjoining field. Easy walk into town, either through the fields or along the road. Lots of great places to visit in the local area, Waterfall Trail in Ingleton is brilliant, quite a challenging walk but the views are worth it. We caught the local bus into Clapham, another beautiful village and amazing walk through the Ingleborough Estate to the caves. We loved this area and the campsite, thank you Hillary.

Superb

Top notch CL with level HS pitches, beautiful views of Ingleborough and excellent toilet, shower and pot wash facilities. We love walking our dogs along the river and it was only a 10 minute walk into Ingleton village. Loved our stay here!

Beautiful area

Lovely setting for this CL plus small private site. Friendly welcome and all info explained. Amenities in block nearby. Water EHU and electricity all fine. Enjoyed our stay despite the wet weather.

Excellent CL for our tour around the Yorkshire Dal

June 2023 - This is a lovely (sheep) farm CL with additional pitches in adjoining field. We stayed in the adjoining field which was great - all hardstanding pitches with EHU & own tap on pitch. Showers/Toilet block is better than Club Sites - great showers and spotlessly clean. Lot's of lambs so they are chatting all day, which was lovely. It is offset from the road, you can hear it a little during the day but quiet at night (and can't really see the road) We received a warm welcome from Hilary & Malcolm upon arrival. The CL is a few minutes walk to the Country Harvest Farm Shop and about 10 mins into Ingleton. It was very hot during our stay in the Yorkshire Dales and was grateful for a pitch with trees behind us to offer some shade - the opposite site of the site had no shade. We walked to Ingleton Waterfall Trail from the site - the trail was very busy at the weekend but quiet on weekdays. You can paddle & swim in the deeper areas on good weather. We only stayed for 3 nights as was touring around but will definitely return. Thank you for our lovely stay

Perfect Location

We stayed here for four nights in April and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The showers and toilets are very clean and kept to a high standard. Hilary and Malcolm were great hosts and you can see they take a pride in their site. The views were lovely and it was a fantastic place to relax. The local walks were great and it was easy to walk to the village centre. We will definitely return:)

Perfectly positioned for exploring the Yorkshire Dales

This is a very well run site: it is clear where you are to pitch on arrival and the shower block is cleaned regularly- a pleasure to use. Hilary is a very friendly hostess. Good phone signal and free wi fi. We pitched overlooking a delightful field full of sheep and new born lambs and although there was some noise from the nearby road it did not bother us at all. A real bonus for us was the nearby Country Harvest farm shop and cafe, only five minutes walk along the road or a very pleasant fifteen minutes through the field , along the river and through the woods. It has an excellent butcher and delicatessen and all the food we purchased from there was absolutely superb. All the attractions of the Dales are very close by. If you like cycling, a route directly from the site through Barbondale to Dent and back via Kingsdale is spectacular- you feel like you are on top of the world!

Excellent CL in great location

Easy to find, on arrival our pitch was clearly marked at entrance on whiteboard. Shower block extremely clean, modern and warm. Don't usually use on site shower facilities but couldn't resist on this occasion, underfloor heating and hot water in cold March weather - bliss! Short dog friendly walk (10-15 mins) to centre of Ingleton to pottery, waterfall walks, shops etc. Co op in centre for shopping and also a petrol station. Visited Seasons Cakes on small industrial estate, delicious bakes, well worth a visit. Note that shower block shared with small, separate commercial site of about 10 pitches, but not open when we visited. Would recommend this site.

Lovely CL with enhanced pitches

Booking was easy with Hilary and our name was on a board on arrival showing which pitch had been reserved for us. Unfortunately, we only had 3 nights here, but we will definitely return to this CL. Easy walk into Ingleton which was a lovely village and also the Lake district is very easily reached, making this a great base to explore in all directions. The site is very well maintained and the shower block well equipped and spotlessly clean. We like having hardstanding pitches with water, waste and electrics so this CL is perfect for us. There is a little road noise but not loud enough to be a disturbance. Free range eggs were also available. Would definitely recommend to others.

Stunning location with everything you need

From the first enquiry with Hilary & Malcolm, the communication has been superb! We used this site for the first time on our way to The Lake District for two nights… wished we’d booked for longer. Just outside the village of Ingleton, so easy to walk into the village where you’ll find an amazing choice of beautiful shops, fish & chips, pharmacy, pottery, The Old Post Office which is now a micro pub, and lots of other pubs, essentials from the Co-op and of course a beautiful walk to the Ingleton Falls (£8) per adult. The site itself is just lovely, the toilets and showers are pristine and kept incredibly clean by the owners, well cut grass all around. Just perfect See you again Hilary & Malcolm Ali, Steve & Brie Dyer

Excellent Find

We searched the internet for a site within walking distance of Ingleton and this turned out to be an excellent find. We stayed for 4 nights from The Early May Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2022. Booked by 'phone mid March when we spoke to the owner Hilary Lund who was lovely. It was then that we found they have a separate 5 pitch CL site reserved exclusively for CAMC members. Note to self: we must get better at searching the CAMC web pages for sites. On the day of arrival there was a board at the entrance with our pitch number. The gravel slope down from the farm to the site is quite steep and might be a problem to drive back up in wet weather. Certainly for our 2000 model VW T4 non turbo Auto-Sleeper Gatcombe. No doubt there would be a tractor on hand in case of difficulties. This is a fabulous site - all pitches are hard standing each with electric hook up and fresh water tap. Elsan point and grey waste are just a few metres away as are the recycling bins. The CL site is back to back with the 5 pitch main site where the excellent shower and toilet block (completed in 2017) is situated. There is also a pot washing area and the same Elsan etc.facilities as on the CL site. Other reviews have mentioned the noise from the road but you are below the road anyway and we really did n't find it a problem. As it happened Hilary and Malcolm were away at the time of our stay but we said hello to their daughter Gill who was looking after things. The only question we had was directions for walking to Ingleton. As others have said you are pretty much left in complete privacy which is just great. The surroundings are lovely with sheep and lambs in the fields and birdsong all around. You can walk down the field to the riverside where you can walk along a lovely path through the trees. You can walk to Ingleton through the fields as we did or out of the farm entrance turn right along the footpath along the road. If you go left just a minute away is a huge shop and restaurant. If you plan to visit the area book yourselves into Lundholme Farm Caravan Park. You won't be disappointed!
