A slice of heaven!

What a delightful site! It was easy to find, and the approach although narrow was manageable due to frequent passing places, so no problem even with a twin axle. Owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The setting is picturesque, with the River Wye running alongside (the other side of the boundary fence and approach lane, so no worries for parents of young children). Our kids (10 & 12 years) loved watching the farmers planting in the fields opposite, and the owners of the CL herding their sheep nearby, as well as having the freedom to wander along the lane that follows the river. Plenty of nearby walks straight from the site. Watching the sunset from the tranquility of this site was a little slice of heaven! We certainly hope be return to this site again!

"Idyllic setting"

On arrival which was a bit late 9.30pm the owner still came and welcomed us checking everything was ok. the location of this site is absolutely stunning sited right alongside the river wye just the odd canoe passing the only noise owls hooting, foxes barking. No need for use off car so many walks you can do straight from the site, if you ever want to leave it. Foy bridge is about 10 minute walk away and so many others places to choose from. Real getaway from it all haven, with such a friendly welcome. Lane is a bit narrow on approach but having met no cars never was a problem and wow when you get there. Will be certainly be returning.

Time to unwind?

Just spent a wonderful week here. (The weather helped). The setting is absolutely stunning, right by the River Wye. Leaping salmon, kingfishers, and the occasional canoe going past, truly a site to unwind. Very friendly owners too. The road to the site is a bit on the narrow side, but well worth it when you arrive.

Stunning Setting

This is a wonderfully secluded site sandwiched between a valley-side forest and the River Wye. It has the most wonderful views of the adjacent river. The 5 pitches are well-spaced out and there is additional land for strolling / dog-walking. The very minor road serving the site has very little traffic. The last half mile of the journey to the site is along this narrow road and there are few passing places - so take it easy and pray you don't meet another caravan coming the other way. Within easy walking distance are How Caple Court (the gardens are well worth a visit) and Foy Bridge (a suspension bridge over the river). Ross on Wye is 15 minutes drive away along a very winding road (do not even think about bringing your caravan in from the Ross direction!!!) This really is a site for relaxing and enjoying total peace and quiet. The owners are most helpful and welcoming. The one oddity of the site is that the toilet emptying point is in the site owner's garden a couple of minutes walk from the site itself - so make sure you've got a trolley of some sort to carry the toilet tank.
