4 night stay

What a gem! Despite having lived in Lincolnshire all my life, I have never explored this area before staying on this delightful site. Once settled on pitch, you can forget your car, and simply walk an abundance of footpaths straight from your temporary door. Its perfect for ramblers and dog-owners. The site facilities are clean and cared-for, water point and chemical depositary are both easily accessed, all very convenient. The owners are laid-back and do not bother you....and as an added bonus, you have your own private gate into their garden centre.

5 nights stay.

We stayed here for 5 nights May 2023. The site is generally as described in the book, however it is not all good. It is not strictly a five unit site. There is a large twin axle caravan with people actually living and working from site, There is a further van sited which looks as thought is is parked up as a seasonal unit. It was unoccupied all the time during our visit. There are also three other units set around the pond, although they are not on the 5 unit site, the access to them is through the CL site and they use the CL facilities. So basically, the CL is supposed to be a licenced 5 unit site but there are only three spaces available to book and there are in total 8 units on site when full. The shower is very basic, cold and the water flow from the shower head is a dribble. The toilet is also very basic.no toilet paper, no hot water for hand washing, no means of hand drying and no coat hangers. Be prepared to use your own facilities. Apart from that it is ok .

Absolutely brilliant!

We have just spent 10 days on this wonderful site. Peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. Walks in surrounding area are plentiful (as were the blackberries)and there is easy access to the local beaches within a short drive-which kept our dog happy. Weather was great except for one day when we headed off to the Woodlands in Boston and walked the well laid out paths there. Batteries fully recharged. Mandy is very friendly and greeted us on arrival and chatted throughout our stay without being obtrusive. And finally, the on site shower and toilet were an added bonus. Thank you for a great CL.

Once again not disappointed! Mandy so friendly and easy going makes you feel on holiday as soon as you arrive. This place gets better and better, more hardstandings this year. if you want a site that’s not just a field in the middle of nowhere then this is for you

Love this place

Stayed here numerous times now, and is my go-to site when I need a break. Immaculately kept, hard standings, loads of space, excellent facilities and loads of great walks with the doggets direct from the site. By far and away the best CL I've visited. Alford a couple of miles away, got some great antique/collector shops and a decent Co-op.

2nd Visit, Love This CL

As said 2nd time here, 4 night stop off on my way home from up north. Was only 2 rigs here, super quiet being set up next to the old railway line. Love this part of the Wolds, great dog walking direct from site and plenty of shops in Alford for all the essentials. Toilet and shower were open, 50p per shower left in honesty tub, hopefully you found mine ok! Why this doesn't get full I don't know but being selfish that suits me just fine. All in all another great stay, thankyou.

Surprises

Enjoyed a week at this lovely clean site. We were made very welcome by Mandy and the staff. This site is full of surprises, I won't tell you what they are, you'll have to stay at Mandy's Plant and Garden Centre to find out. We will definitely book again.

Nothing to criticise!

There's nothing to criticise about this site. Large lawned field, so plenty of space between units, hookup and pleasant loo and shower. And there's the hobbit house! We did two 25 mile cycle rides from the site, one to the coast - fabulous! And walking was to be found nearby. Just two miles from Alford, where there is a small Coop, fish 'n' chips and an Indian restaurant. Mandy is very pleasant, and it's worth looking around her small garden centre.

A peaceful stay

We had a very peaceful stay here in early May. The site is very quiet, very well maintained, and the garden centre adds interest. We will certainly return there. Thanks Mandy.

Immaculate, quiet and great for walks

April stay for a week, shared facilities covid closed. This site is immaculate, simply can't be faulted. Loads of room for each pitch, I chose grass. Good walks either direct from site or locally 5 minutes in the car. Dogs loved it. Easy access to/from Alford. Will defo put this on my "sites to revisit" list. All in all a great time.
