It’s a quiet peaceful field

Drove in, another visitor to told us to drive through to the field and choose a place, either in the top field or further long into the 2nd field. Slightly bumpy but easy to level up. We had a beautiful country view. Lovely breeze too, as the village is at the top of a Hill. There were toilet blocks, a place to empty toilet and bin and drinking water but we couldn’t find the driveover grey waste disposal. No EHU. Paid £7 on the way out. There is a pub very nearby but we didn’t go. Watched the parachutists and spitfires from Headcorn. Lovely site if you want some peace and quiet.

Keep it a secret.

This is the sort of CL that you don't want to tell too many people about, keep it a secret!

hay field

From the road it looks OK, but have to drive through narrow entrance through host house No signage to tell you where to book in Eventually told to drive down onto field, where we would see another van -- site anywhere --the paths were extremely rough, the field was equally rough, which was made worse because the grass was knee high and you could not see the ground. On a good side the loo was very clean, but to use it you had to walk across a hay field. For £6 what do you expect ---- at least a plot where you can see where you are driving -- pity with a bit of tidying and attention they could probably charged more and had the CL full.

Fabulous.......our local!!!

Fantastic CL and our first ever stay on a CL and certainly wont be our last, we are already planning on going next weekend! Mr and Mrs Gosbee were very friendly and welcoming. We pitched in the 2nd field (we weren't supposed to....oops!) but it wasnt a problem! Toilet very clean, waste point good, water point good, entry into field a little muddy and bumpy but what do you expect its a working farm and only £6 per night! Looking forward to our next stay

Darling Buds of May

This is an authentic Darling Buds of May CL. You arrive through an arch in the oast house, drive past the farm house and barns, past the stable block and into a very large field with a large lake in its centre. Being a field, the grass was quite long in places but it wasn’t a problem. We don’t usually stay on CLs without EHU but this has to be worth not using the microwave. Mr & Mrs Gosbee were very friendly. Helping feed the lambs just added to our wonderful experience of this fabulous CL. There is a pub a few yards down the road and Sissingshurst NT is very close. Highly recommend this site if simple pleasures are what you are looking for.
