Great CL site

Mick is a great host, nothing is too much. Small peaceful site about 15 mins from Scarborough and Pickering. 3 min walk to the local pub The Anvil Inn, great food and the locals welcome you. Beautiful walks surrounding the area. Toilets are basic but always keen, power shower and nice and hot. Kid and dog friendly with horses and lambs fenced off as still a working farm. Fresh eggs delivered to your caravan door, cheers Mick! Been twice now and looking forward to going back this year.

A lovely peaceful site

A very peaceful site in a peaceful village. The shared toilet and shower are quite basic but perfectly adequate and it is useful to have a dog walking path and the nearby woods meant we could let our Springer spaniel have a good run. From the site it was easy to visit Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and several other places of interest. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. We heard barn and tawny owls in the evening. We so enjoyed the site that we extended our original booking by three nights and could easily have stayed longer.

Lovely quiet site, in good location.

Just spent a relaxing week at this lovely CL it was our first visit, but we will be coming back.. The toilet and shower are a bonus. The site owner, Mick is lovely, always greets you with a smile & is very helpful, cannot do enough for you. The site is well kept with stunning scenery with sheep, horses & chickens.Handy location for the east coast Yorkshire Moors etc. Highly recommend a stay. The Anvil Inn is now open which is only a short walk along the road from the site. We went a couple of times during our stay, once for a drink the other visit for a meal great food with a warm welcome, Would advise you to book a table.

Late September getaway

A very good CL in an impressive setting. Peaceful and quiet, but handy for Scarborough and other places to visit. Unfortunately the local pub in Sawdon seems to have closed.

Overnight stop August 2020

We were greeted by the owner , what a lovely friendly man, even though we disturbed his lunch, the site is beautiful and well kept, we used our own toilet and shower, but there is one next door, Sawdon is a very pretty and quiet little village , if your looking for a peaceful relaxing stay, this would be ideal , we would definitely return .

Perfect CL

This is a perfect CL. Owner very welcoming and accommodating. Field in very good condition, with plenty of space. Toilet and shower ok. Very good for all the attractions of Scarborough and Northh York’s. Anvil pub good for food and drink, but in nearby village of Brompton best pork pies I’ve ever tasted

Great Site

Very warm welcome from the farmer, quiet site with plenty of space and in a great location. Lots of wide life to see and handy shower/toilet on site which was kept very clean.

Lovely quiet site.

Just returned home after 6 nights at Manor Farm. Perfect stay. Toilet and shower clean and well looked after. Easy access and ideally located just off the A170 so getting to Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and other attractions is no problem. We found Mick, the owner, to be friendly and helpful. Will certainly visit again and can recommend to others.

Relaxing stay

Just arrived home from 4 nights stay, like everyone else we read the reviews and didn't know what to expect. Thank goodness we ignored the negative comments, this is an amazing little gem of a site, we will definitely be back, we never visited Scarborough or Whitby we thought it would be to crowded with our fur babies but we had a fantastic time walking along the coast looking at the seals and the wildlife. There are plenty of dog walks off site which was important to us with one of our babies being a springer, its a lovely quiet site, with a separate toilet and shower, which we never had to queue for. The charge for the shower is £1 but you don't have to use it. Mick the owner was very friendly and made it clear if we needed anything just to ask. Mr & Mrs Hill Derby
