An enjoyable stay, clean facilities and plenty of space for children to play.

We stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed it. The weather was a little cold and when I went to shower I found the heating in the bathroom was not working. The toilet and shower facilities consist of a single toilet and single shower in two separate rooms near the farm house, about 100yards from the CL field. They were clean and finished to a good standard in the not to distant past. The camping field is very spacious with hookups and water points spaced generously around the field. My 3 year old and her cousin had all the space they needed to run about and get some fresh air. The motorway noise was not really loud, you can hear it, but is is very distant. When you hear the sound of children playing then you don't even hear it. What was more audible were the planes from Birmingham Airport, it just made me realize how lucky I am to be able to enjoy a holiday in the UK without having to fly abroad!!! It would be even better if: 1. The septic tank was setup was improved. (it resembles a long drop for yester year). 2. The heating in the bathroom worked. 3. If I could receive a receipt for payment and an info page about the CL, Rules and the local area.

OK site, could be better

Pleasant CL with plenty of space, individual water and electric points, shame that the grass had been cut and left lying, and after rain, great clods of it were trodden into the awning as it stuck to our shoes. I may have very acute hearing but the noise from the M6 and being under the flight path from Birmingham airport made it quite difficult to get to sleep. The toilet and shower room were very clean, although they had to be shared with other caravanners who were pitched in the farmyard. Enjoyed our stay, but the sting in the tail was emptying the toilet cassette into a septic tank , it almost made me vomit.

Maxstoke hall 'The Best'

Plenty of space, water at each power point, surrounded by peaceful coun try side, just off M6 at toll junction, just 15 mins from NEC Purrfect. Mrs Green is delightful, the showers and toilets are immaculate, showers are 'lovely'
