Great place

This is a great location to get away from all the hustle and bustle, a hidden gem. It’s a peaceful location, with everything you need. Tim was very welcoming, he come over and introduced himself to us, and then showed us where everything was to ensure our stay went nice and smooth. Which was very helpful as this was our first ever caravan trip with our new caravan.

Another wonderful stay

We have just returned home after a fantastic 8 nights at Meadow Bank Farm. Tim and Catherine are always very warm and welcoming. The site has undergone a lot of work in recent years and is a credit to Tim and Catherine. The site is tucked away from the main road, giving peace and quiet, together with security. The facilities are always clean and tidy, and everything is as you would expect of a CL site. We had a great stay, and look forward to returning to this wonderful site again soon.

Would return

Lovely site, stayed for 6 nights, was a pleasure to meet Tim and Catherine , close to Beaulieu, and a wild life park, or just to have a lovely stroll through the forest, nothing is to much trouble if you want to ask anything. If you use showers , £2 per van per day to use the shower, we thought this was very reasonable as only 22 pound per day to stay there, they ask you to clean the toilet when finish and they leave bleach etc for you to do this ( good idea if you ask me) there are security gates with code which I liked .Thank you for a lovely stay ,will return one day

2 night stay

We stayed 2 nights. Great site for us. Quiet with plenty of space. Easy access to the Red Funnel Ferry terminal for the Isle of White. Caution - Site entrance not labelled so very easy to miss and we did miss it first time. Drive down narrow lane taking it on faith CL was at the end and fortunately there was.

Not for us

Didn’t enjoy our overnight stay here at all. The shower facility was absolutely filthy. It does state to leave it as you find it - the mould around the shower base needs removed and new sealant is required. The toilet was almost passable but only just! It costs £2 per person per shower! Thankfully we used our own shower. Owner wasn’t around when we visited. His details to pay by bank transfer didn’t work. I emailed him and he said he was aware of this. I ended up putting cash through his letterbox. The driveway into the site is extremely overgrown with bushes and it is very narrow. We definitely wouldn’t use this place again.

Our first CL visit in our first caravan - Perfect for us :-)

The site is lovely and peaceful and the toilet and shower were clean/tidy. There is a Dog Walk from the site itself was a big bonus for us. It's very near a nice pub, a fish-and-chip shop and a Chinese takeaway - all are within walking distance. If you are a Parkrunner it is also walking distance from Bartley Park Parkrun. As we are new to this it is hard to be subjective, but we received a very warm welcome and helpful advise so would be happy to go back. Overall it's a thumbs up from us :-)

Great CL But Needs A Facilities Spruce Up

We had a few nights here last month and I agree with all the 5* comments from our fellow Reviewers except when it comes to the facilities. There are cleaning materials left in the WC and the shower and signs requesting cleaning after use. The trouble is that nobody is inclined to use them as it is not clean in the first place. Green credentials are very important but having three different shades of mould in the shower cubicle does not really count. £20/night is reasonable but then asking £2/night/couple for the use of a shabby shower is a bit cheeky.

First rate site

May 21st 2022. Just a one night stay on the way to the Isle of Wight. We can only echo the 5 star reviews below. Easy to locate the site, warm welcome, flat, hardstanding pitches, good dog walking, clean facilities. Certainly worth a longer stay as the New Forest is on the doorstep.

Feb 2022 weekend stay - loved it

Our first visit and loved it . Easy to get to being minutes off the M27 - secure site set back behind houses and accessed via private road and via electronic security gates and once there tranquil. Great welcome from Tim including helping us manouvre onto pitch (out of practise and dark - our excuse) and showing us all the site facilities. Walks from site (dog pleased) and we thoroughly enjoyed walk along Beaulieu river (short drive away) on saturday and round Romsey heritage trail on sunday morning. Large Morrisons supermarket short drive away and we enjoyed a take away Indian from Totton which is a few minutes drive. For us facilities just right - clean and short stroll from our pitch and reassuring to have spray sanitiser to hand at the electronic site gate keypads as well as at loo and shower building. For us this is just what we hope for from a CL- thank you to Tim.

What a wonderful place.

We stayed here in August 2021 & honestly this place is an absolute gem of a site! It's beautifully kept with all the facilities you could possibly want, from piping hot showers to laundry facilities. Very close to a couple of great pubs too! The owners were lovely, warm and welcoming and so very helpful. The pitches are well spaced and level hard standings with EHU Entry is at the end of a lane where you'll encounter a large high electric metal gate operated by key pad/intercom and therefor felt incredibly secure. The proximity of things to do around the area is amazing, we spent most of our time cycling around The New Forest with the occasional trip out on our motorbike to explore further afield. The coast & The New Forest is only a short drive away as is Southampton and there are a number of large supermarkets close by too. All that said the site was so peaceful & open it felt like we were in the middle of the countryside miles from anywhere! TV reception was excellent as was 4g data. We would have loved to stay longer but unfortunately we had to move on to meet with friends, but we will definitely return... but please don't spread the word about how great this place is or it will be full next time we want to visit!!!
