Lovely quiet CL

Stayed two nights as wanted to go to The Sculpter park , this being the hearest site. Quiet site in lovely locations. 4 mile cycle ride to The sculpter park ( which is definately worth a visit) but nothing else around that you can get to without a car or moving the MH. Nearest pub is about 40 mins walk ( 10 mins cycle away). In summary perfect for a couple of days winding down in the peace and quiet , but it's isolation is also a downside with little to do without a car.

Little Gem

Wonderfully tucked away little Glen. Very peaceful, lots of birdlife to watch and listen too. Byway, although muddy due to heavy rain, can be used to access owner. (wear wellies or walking boots). Initially drove past site entrance as no sign on way up hill. Definitely need to go up to triangle to turn around, then easy access to field. If you are in need of a 'little get away from it all' then this is the perfect site.

A pretty, peaceful CL

I stayed at Mellow Farm for one night while passing through, wish I could have stayed longer as it was very peaceful, quiet and had EHU. It's right in the middle of nowhere and the CL is at the top of a hill in a wooded glade. Basic toilet-emptying facility, bin and water refill area. Mobile phone/4G signal poor though, so if you need that for longer stays it might be a problem. Would stay again.

Lovely quiet site

Spent 2 nights in early October. Very tranquil and peaceful place. You should contact owner before trying to find it as the lanes are narrow and access is from one direction only. Lovely walks in the area - walked to Frensham Lakes form the site along quiet roads. (Footpaths badly maintained by Local Council.) Recommend ice-cream from local dairy close to site on road to Churt. Hope to visit again.

Pretty Secluded Spacious Spot

The access to the site is on the left a couple of hundred yards or so before Picketts Hill Farm which is the Google maps centre of the site post code GU35 8TD. You definitely have to go up to the 'triangle' beyond to turn round as the track leading to the CL gate is at an accute angle to the road up a firm, slightly daunting, if short, narrow unmade track. Care needed if pulling a larger unit and watch the tree, and its roots, to the right of the gate as you enter! A lovely spot with good space, firm ground and nice trees. The surrounding roads are narrow so be aware if that concerns you (there are passing spaces). If Mr Hadfield does not visit whilst you are there you can go to his website mellowfarmadventure.co.uk to get the bank details. We hope to visit again.

Nothing to worry about

I have a 7.3 meter caravan and an MPV so was a bit worried about the instructions but it was no problem at all. The triangle is big enough not to even touch the verge and the final approach although a bit uneven was no problem. A flat, quiet site surrounded by trees with a bit of wildlife about. We loved it.

Plenty of places to visit in this area

I have lost count how many times I have visited this CL since 1983. The area has many places of interest to visit. The NT & Forestry Commission has a stronghold around here Bird World & The Watercress Steam train line is not far away too. The entry into the site looks worse than it is we have no problem getting in with our 640 twin axle, You need to pass site and go up to tri angle and return to go in. Set on a hill this glade is sheltered with plenty of space for 5 vans without feeling crowded. Owner live about half a mile away down the byway and calls on his quad to pick up fees. Plenty of wild life here just sit in your van and watch nature come to you. Unfortunately we don t visit as much as we used to since electric hook-ups have been installed in 2005 as they now have plenty of bookings and you cant just phone the day before and get a pitch like you used to. This is certainly one of our favourite CL's

Lovely peaceful site

This is the second time this year we have stayed at this site and find it very quiet and peaceful. Easy drive to Farnham and Guildford. Access is a bit tight even for our 2 berth but there were some longer vans on, you just have to be careful you don't hit the tree on entry and exit. Only diwnside this time were two barking dogs and with the owners not on site, it was left up to us to deal with it ( some owners just don't care). There is so much to see and do around this area, especially if you like walking and cycling.
