Hidden gem

A lovely quiet site with views up to Meon Hill, walks from the pitch, access to a old railway cycle track right into the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon and plenty of local places of interest. Hidcote Gardens can be combined with a pretty walk over the hills. Great local amenities within walking distance (supermarket, pub, fish & chips, lovely farm shop/cafe) make it easy to give this a five star rating. The host was very helpful and accessible and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meon View.

Very Friendly Site

Just got back from a 10 day stay at this lovely site in the Cotswold's. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful without being intrusive on your privacy, and we benefited from their local knowledge. The site is very spacious and has the added benefit of additional pitches available on a more secluded top field, which unfortunately was unavailable for us due to the wet conditions. There is some background road noise, but it is not over intrusive but is audible from the site. Overall a very friendly and well maintained site in an ideal location for exploring the beautiful Cotswold's.

Lovely short stay.

Just home from a short two night stay at Meon View over the Easter weekend. Warm welcome from the owner who had lots of info about the surrounding area. We walked the Stratford upon Avon Greenway into Stratford breaking up the walk at a converted railway carriage for coffee and cake. We also walked 10km around Meon Hill stopping at Mickleton for a pub lunch, such a beautiful view from the top! A lovely campsite ideally situated and surrounded by beautiful nature.

Picturesque view

Just spent 4 nights on this truly beautiful site the views from the site were fantastic but the views from the top of Meon hill were outstanding. There is plenty of room between pitches and the owners were very helpful with telling us were we could walk our dog. there is a great farm shop 5 min walk from site across some fields with a great café. The site is close to Stratford upon Avon, Evesham and Chipping Camden and a host of picturesque Cotswold villages. We will definitely be returning.

A R C C. Our visit May/June 2021

As a club we have been visiting this lovely site many times over the years, many people have visited individually all comments have been good. It is a site that is well situated for visits to beautiful areas of the Cotswolds and a few National Trust properties, the site is tidy and well spaced with friendly owners. helpful when required. We'll certainly be visiting again. Give it a try!!! hope to see you there.

A Few Hot Days in Summer

We arrived on a Sunday in August 2020. It was hot weather and just got hotter! The welcome was equally warm and clear direction given upon arrival. The site is peaceful and there is no overbearing of the owners, although they are present and happy to advise (and leave tomatoes!) I noticed that other people did not want to pitch in the exact bays and the owners were not at all bothered, flexible and accomodating. I though this was lovely as some sites are just too regimental! I would recommend this site. It is tidy and clean, although there are no facilities such as showers etc. - most of us seem to be not requiring these nowadays. Several other caravanners who had been shielding told me they 'felt safe here' and either were returning or would return. I was surprised this was such a reocurring theme to conversations - so if that's you - this is where you might like to head for. The entrance is narrow but do-able with care. Chipping Camden is beautiful and 15mins away. Much nearer are farm shops, cafes & garden centres with outside eating etc. You will feel able to go out and about, staying outdoors and away from crowds. Thank you Mr & Mrs Rimell.

A belated review.

Better late than never. We stayed on this CL in May/June of 2019. What was initially booked as a stop off point for a few days and then moving on further up country to visit family in Sheffield, became a place we wanted to come back to, and did. Upon our return we enjoyed all that the CL and local area had to offer. Beautiful setting, so relaxing watching the chickens busily peck and run around their large enclosure, (plus fresh eggs daily-yum) lovely owners, and so much more. We will return again this year.

Great all round site

Perfectly located for a myriad of Cotswold places of interest including Stratford Upon Avon which is an easy cycle ride away along the nearby Greenway. Great walking from the site, including over Meon Hill. Gardens galore nearby to explore. The site itself is in a very peaceful setting with views toward the Hill, perfect for relaxing after a day's activity. Lower Quinton church, pub and shop nearby. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. This was our third visit, and no hesitation in going again.

In our Minds the Perfect CL

This is just our sort of CL. Beautifully situated at the base of the Cotswold Escarpment with direct access on to the Heart of England Way for walkers, quiet lanes for cycling and near the Greenway into Stratford upon Avon, and close to Hidcote Gardens, Kiftsgate Gardens and the many interesting places in the Cotswolds and Stratford. The site is beautifully maintained and very quiet, with very helpful and friendly owners. We just loved it, and hope to visit again very soon.
