Lovely Site, well worth a visit!

This is a very well presented site. Good hard standing fully serviced pitches. The toilet and shower facilities are spot less and well appointed. Nice and hot electric showers. The hot water is actually very hot (unlike lots of club sites) and plentiful both for personal washing and doing the dishes in the seperate washing up area. Site staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local attractions.

Fabulous little gem of a site

Great CL with all the facilities of a larger site. Very clean and tidy. Flat pitches easily accessed. Lovely welcome with details given of the local area from the warden. Cycling, walking and mountain biking. Bonus of having the fishing lake so close by. Already booked again.

May visit 2022

Just spend 5 nights at Near Moss and what a wonderful site. Staff are absolutely fantastic ( what gets me is why cant the Caravan Club bring the same sort of standard with their own site staff, need to send them to small sites like these to be educated on how to deal with the public) this site is immaculately kept , site toilets everything about it, easy access along with water / waste on all the cl pitches just everything about it, up there with the very best in CL sites that you will ever come across........wonderful no other word for it. Amazing little gem of a site

We booked this site as it was close to where friends live, so hadn't really looked into it. What a wonderful little surprise it is! There is a seasonal site of 60 vans close by, but the area of the 5 van CL is lovely. Pebbled, very flat hardstanding, each pitch is separate. We were booked onto pitch 3 which was tucked up nicely against a hedge. Each pitch is generously sized and had it's own water and waste water. The toilet block was lovely and clean, 2 showers and 3 toilets in the ladies. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, very peaceful. The staff on site (we came across two) were lovely and friendly, keen to tell us about the surrounding area. A very short walk down the lane takes you to the micro brewery. Upstairs is an amazing, warm and friendly bar area. Downstairs they were cooking home baked pizzas, so that changed our plans for the evening meal! The bar had the best shuffleboard I've ever seen! This site is the best value for money that we've ever been to and we will most definitely be back.

Hooray for CL’s

In the midst of COVID-19, stay-cation holidays and scarce pitch availability, we’ve just returned from a weeks holiday at this wonderful ‘Adults only’ CL site. Immaculate site, extremely spacious pitches, and close proximity to many of the glorious Lancashire towns, villages and countryside. Incredibly peaceful it was the perfect answer, beating many club sites hands down in its generous offering for a fraction of club site prices. Sadly the main toilet block remained closed cue to COVID-19 restrictions but there was use of a spotless disabled toilet at all times. Each pitch has its own parking bay ensuring the 5 pitches had plenty of space and vista to enjoy the site. Yes you’ll need a car but a small price to pay for a getaway from the crowds. Lancaster is 15 minutes away, as are the pretty towns and villages of Garstang and Scorton. Lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants to be found in all. Plus the beauty of Bowland on your doorstep with many varying walks for all children and adults alike. Near Moss Farm - thank you - we’ll be back!

Overnight stopover

Although we only stayed here for one night on our way home from Cornwall to Cumbria we found the site really really good. It has everything you need and the showers/toilets were really clean. Yes, it’s a bit off the beaten track but it’s a great site. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Weekend Stay

What a beautiful, clean site. My husband & myself have just come back from a very relaxing weekend at this beautiful site. We would highly recommend this site. The showers and WC's are spotless and TV reception is very good. Areas to visit are within easy reach from here. Frank who owns the farm is a very knowledgable man on the area and very pleasant. Just want to say thank you for a very nice and pleasant weekend. We enjoyed it that much we are looking into a seasonal pitch here as it is beautiful. Mrs J Humphreys - Bolton

Wonderful site

My wife, young niece (8 years old) and I have just returned from a week on this site and our whole experience was excellent. The pitch is what other sites term a super pitch as each pitch is hard standing with its own water supply (you can use an Aqua roll stopcock adapter and pipe connection (from Go-Outdoors)) so no need for re-filling, the pitches also have their own grey waste grid and faultless electricity supply. My wife particularly wanted me to share that the toilet and shower block were always pristine, which was my experience of the men’s facilities. During my shower time I met many of the people from the adjacent long stay site and they were courteous and friendly. A mop bucket with clean water was left by the door and everyone gave the floor a quick wipe over if they were in danger of leaving messy footprints. A cleaning in progress sign warned of the drying floor. The site was very peaceful and on two occasions we enjoyed spotting the micro-lights circling in the evening sky whilst eating out on our adjacent grassed area. Site staff were very friendly and recommended the local eggs which we tried and they were superb. We used the site as a base to discover the Fylde coast where we enjoyed coastal walks at: Pilling which was a 5 minute drive away (free parking); Knott End which was a 10 minute drive, where the ferry usually departs to Fleetwood (free parking); Cleveley’s beautiful beach front was about a 30 minute drive with free street parking found adjacent to the front; Fleetwood was a 35 minute drive with free parking on The Esplanade, nice sandy beach; Blackpool was a 35 minute drive, found free parking on a side street behind The Imperial Hotel but it was a bit of a trek to the Tower: Morecambe was a 35 minute drive but has a lovely front with sandy beach, we parked in a long stay off Marine Rd Central near the RNLI shop for £3.50 all day.

ONE OF THE BEST

We have been coming to this site over the years since it first opened. It is a first class CL with first class amenities. Peter & Sheila who manage the site are lovely people and very easy going and great to get on with. The 5 van site is adjacent to a much larger seasonal site which is totally separated by hedging and a rise & fall barrier. Ease of access is good to the CL. You are in a very remote quite area the only noise issue is from aircraft and microlights overhead which take off from the local aerodrome, but this is not obtrusive in any way. There is room on each pitch for your caravan & awning and a parking facility in front of the toilet block for everyone cars. Hook up, water supply and grey waste to each hard standing pitch too, which is a bonus. About 5 mile from Garstang which has supermarkets, banks etc. There is a fishing lake on site, although I don't fish I'm sure anglers would be in their element. To sum up, if you want a nice relaxing break away from it all, on fully serviced hard standing pitch, for a reasonable price - then look no further than Near Moss Farm, its sheer heaven.
