We will be back

We stayed here the night before catching the ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe. Perfect for what we wanted. Lovely tranquil site. The owner had lost our booking even though we confirmed everything by text, but luckily there was room for us. Very easy to get to the ferry the next day. Take the owner's advised route through Lewes as the centre is very tight. We will definitely stay here again next time we catch the ferry and build in a longer stay as Lewes looks very interesting.

We would return

A lovely little site with easy access to great walks on the South Downs and to Lewis It’s a large field with marked pitches. Lots of room. There is a junior school nearby but the didn’t bother us at all. Would certainly return at £8 a night.

A joy to stay

Lovely site, owners very welcoming on arrival, very friendly and helpful. Good access to water tap, rubbish bins and chemical disposal point. Lovely views from site, very quiet. Large field with pitches marked out with white flags. Local pub within 5 mins walk from site, great food. We had booked for 3 nights, however, ended up staying for 4. Good location for sight seeing. Price is now £8 per night. Would definitely stay again when in the area. Site was fully occupied during our stay so would recommend booking ahead.

Lovely spot

Enormous field with water and CDP. Close to public transport for Brighton. Very relaxed and welcoming owners. Actually £7.00 per night but great value for money.

Idyllic back to basics site

We stayed here last night to give our caravan it's first outing for the year. The site is a large field that is over looked by rolling hills where animals quietly graze. There is no electric hook up but we didn't need it as we ran everything off of the battery or gas. The grass had recently been cut and despite the rain, we had a cosy evening enjoying each others company without modern gadgets interfering. There is plenty of room on the site along with a water tap, waste water facilities and a bin for your rubbish. There's lots to do nearby with easy access to the A27. We will definitely be going back there again later in the year.

Beautiful countryside

Large field with plenty of pitching options.....well you're not tied to 25m of hook-up cable, so plenty of room is assured. Lots to do in the surrounding areas, Brighton and Lewes are easily accessible with something for everyone; some pretty villages nearby, including Alfriston in particular, check out Badgers rea room. The coast is fantastic, managed to climb one of the seven Sisters and the view from the top was stunning. Didn't try the local village pub, does food and looked very busy whenever we drove past.

Beautiful spot!!

Just booked to go again, such a lovely site with views of beautiful sussex scenery all around. Perfect for Brighton and the University if you have a student there like we do! Great dog walking around and also in Stanmer Park next to the campus. A very friendly welcome, our first Caravan Club CL as new members, great start!! As last reviewer said, follow the correct route, you can always nip through the other one without the caravan!

Wish that there more like this.

I only wish that there were far more CL’s like this. Basic facilities, but that’s all I need. There is a school playing field adjacent, separated by a hedge, but this is no problem & with 3 acres of level field to choose your pitch on you can be assured of a quiet spot with beautiful views over the Sussex Downs. I was surprised to see a windmill only a short distance away which I couldn’t find on my (old) OS map. Apparently it was only built a few years ago! From the A27 it is important to use the route described. The ‘more obvious’ one which your sat nav will take you down includes a short stretch with very restricted width & high banks which could give you problems. In all an ideal CL if you like peace & quiet with beautiful views. I’ll certainly be returning.
