Beautiful

A beautiful rural site within easy reach of Dover Port. We stayed just the one night and it was just what we needed with a beautiful bluebell wood right on the doorstep. Thank you, we would visit again.

Lovely rural site!

A lovely rural site. Flat with plenty of space. Nice cycle rides and dog walks. Will definitely come here again.

Lovely place to stopover for ferries

Exactly what we look for in a CL - just a field with water and rubbish/loo disposal. Best to approach from the south to minimise travel on narrow roads and to spot the field's sign on the west side of the very narrow lane. The owner's house is 100 metres north of the site. We made the schoolboy error of using the satnav and then turning into Newsole Farm, which is a few hundred metres north. Site's owners were very friendly and polite explaining their location over the phone, which I'm sure they get fed up of doing. Only downside is the road noise from the A2, which intrudes when sitting out, but not when inside the van.

Basic and perfect for overnight stay

Very easy access, though narrow road which can be avoided by staying on A2 a little longer and doubling back on yourself. Very peaceful and tranquil. Worth getting a bike off the roof and having a ride around- can get a good view of the sea without going too far. Very easy to get to the port in the morning. Owners very friendly and always have a chat. For a fiver a night you get a nice safe place to park. No electric but that shouldnt be a problem if you have a decent battery.

Simple, cheap & convenient!

A fiver a night for what? Well.... 1) As close to Dover port as you could possibly wish. 2) Tranquil and as nice surroundings as you are likely to find in the area. The lane adjoining the field is very quiet at night, and it is full countryside. 3) A short drive down the lane adjoins the dual carriageway leading directly to Dover port. 4) The field is large enough to make your nearest neighbours as far away from you as you wish.... Miserable? Me??? Never !!! :)  5) The field is very flat and levelling really isn't necessary... No leccy, but who needs any for an overnighter? The only downside is that there is potential for this cl to get muddy....

Perfect for overnighting

We have used this site several times on route to the ferry. The access road is narrow but manageable. The site is reasonably flat but lots of space to manoeuvre. Fairly sheltered and ideal for ferry port or Dover castle.

Perfect Overnighter

Lovely quiet basic CL. This is a perfect Cl to overnight on if heading to or returning from a ferry. Flat, firm and easy to park with plenty of room to sit out. To us this is what a CL should be. Mr Wadey is a nice, welcoming, easygoing chap as well Mike & Jackie
