A Hidden Gem with great walks!

This site is tucked away down a narrow lane alongside the river Arun but we have had no trouble navigating our 7.5m tourer in or out now that there are double yellow lines outside the pub as you turn into the lane. It is very quiet, even if you choose to pitch at the far end of the site next to the railway line wher it disappears into a tunnel! There is a steep wooded escarpment to the south side of the site and this can make getting a satelite connection a challenge but we have not failed yet. The farm house is further up the lane, turning right at the top, and the Lock family are always friendly and helpful. Walks are superb, either down river (via the suspension bridge built by Gurkha Engineers) to Arundle (stopping at the Black Rabbit pub), up river to the wetlands around Amberley or onto the South Downs Way.
