Exellent CL

A very professionally run site, great for dog owners, lovely walk. Like a mini club site only more intimate with such friendly owners and all their animals. The chemical emptying facility has been revamped to a very good standard, the best I have found on a CL! The information post is also a big bonus. The lawned field also drains very well in wet weather.

Wedding weekend

03/08/2013 to 06/08/2013 What a great CL this is. We have started to visit CL sites recently and have not been disapointed with what we have found. We were attending a family wedding in the area and i dropprd Frances an email to check availability for two caravans, 5 people and a Greyhound called Maren. Frances got us booked in with no fuss and even walked the dog for us when we were at the wedding. Thank you again Frances and Tony, you made us feel very welcome, you have a beautiful little site and we will be back in the future.

What a little gem!

We went to this CL as it is local to us and while it enabled us to get away and use our motor home, it meant that we didn't have to travel miles. Well, what a gem of a find this is. Francis and Tony are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet and they welcome any comments and tips that will improve what they have to offer. Not that I could think of one thing. It is a lovely site and being able to interact with the Alpacas and donkeys made this weekend very special. I learned a lot about the animals too which is always a great interest to me. All in all a smashing relaxing weekend which we will be only to happy to do again in the future. Thank you to Francis and Tony for a lovely weekend.

Memorable visit

I stayed at the site for 11 days whilst my wife was travelling abroad with her sister who lived locally. Very pleasant site with a very good walk around an adjacent field giving views over the area plus the busy A14 road nearby. The owners were very helpful and friendly and encouraged interest in their alpaca's and donkeys. I was very impressed that Mr Pope mowed vacant strips when caravans had left site so it was pristine for new arrivals. We will certainly be visiting again!

A stay in the country

What a lovely CL. Made all the more special by Frances and Tony who went out of their way to be welcoming, helpful and informative. We arrived during a shower but that didn't stop Tony escorting us onto the field and giving us lots of important information. This is a working farm and if you choose to you can be involved with some of the daily tasks. We were very fortunate to be able to bottlefeed some lambs and watch their Mums being sheared. Also there are Alpacas which we were able to feed and 3 rescued Donkeys which also liked people interaction. A lovely insight into daily life and the peace and tranquillity was lovely. It is close to the A14 but the muffled road noise soon melted into the background and became unnoticeable. The pitches are a very good size and there is the option to pitch forward or broadside which enabled us to make the most of the two sunny days. Water and recycling facilities are to one end of the field but not far from any pitch and the facilities for toilet emptying are around the corner so no fear of any polluting smells, although the actual facility could do with updating as it can be a little difficult to balance when emptying the cartridge. It was the ideal site for a relaxing weekend and we will definitely return in the future. Apparently March is a popular time with some visitors as it is lambing time and again if you want to help you can !! Thanks Frances and Tony for making us so welcome.

Made to feel welcome

We've had as friendly welcomes at other CLs, but we'd never had such an informative and helpful welcome before, excellent. The box of local info was brilliant and along with the owners enabled us to find pleasant walks from the site. This is a small working farm, but the owners were very happy to invite us to get to know their alpacas, donkeys and sheep after we had expressed an interest. Thank you so much for a great stay.
