Peaceful retreat close to Louth

We were met by Sue a charming lady and she showed us all the facilities EHU ,CDP ,gray water disposal, and the toilet Bearing in mind the time of year we were on one of the hardstandings which are large spaces between barns with views over the huge area for the grass pitches and fields beyond and there are chickens onsite and there eggs can be purchased from Sue Great place in a very quiet location handy for Louth and not far from the coast eg Mablethorpe Donna Nook etc There is also a superb tearoom onsite serving fabulous homemade cakes etc and top-notch coffee "The Alvingham Coffee Roasters" The price when we stayed was £20 including EHU

A quiet, huge CL in the Lincolnshire Wolds

It's not often you get such a large CL with such friendly and relaxed owners. We were told we could pitch anywhere on the 5 acre field, as long as our hook up could reach to have a nice quiet spot. Eggs for sale onsite laid by the resident chickens, a little honesty shop with DVDs to borrow, toilets and the owner said they are having showers installed this year. A short drive into Louth which is a lovely market town and great walks nearby plus the coast 30 mins away. We will definitely return to this site.

Lovely site

Stayed 2 nights here but I could have stayed longer. Very large flat field with lots of chicken roaming around, even baby ones 🙂 Toilet, EHU. Also a honest shop that sells essentials and best of all ice cream 😋 I will definitely be back

Lovely stay

We stayed here for a week over the Jubilee Bank Holiday and had a really relaxing time. Sue and Pete are excellent hosts and invited us to join in with all the celebrations that had been organised in the village hall. The lovely people of Alvingham made us feel really welcome and we can't thank them enough. The site is easy to find and the field is really big so loads of room and so quiet. Sue told us to choose where we wanted to set up and that she would pop over to see us later. Both Sue and Pete were around but never obtrusive and it was really interesting to chat to them about their plans for the site and their own lovely home which is next to the field. The goats and chickens kept us entertained throughout our stay. There is an honesty shop which is stocked with essentials as well as local products and also a book swap and DVD selection and a couple of large pot wash sinks. On the Saturday afternoon Sue and Pete delivered a home made cream tea to every van which was delicious! There are lots of places to visit locally......we really liked Louth and Sutton on Sea. We will definitely be returning to this lovely site some time in the future. Thanks Sue and Pete for a great stay.

A Really Special Site

We spent three nights at this lovely CL and really enjoyed it. There is loads of space to spread out which makes it really peaceful and the facilities are excellent, including a toilet and an "honesty shop" where you can buys essentials and treats. The whole place has a lovely relaxed feel and we'd love to come back again. Louth is definitely worth a visit with some good independent shops. If you like food, don't miss the Cheese Shop in Eastgate which will make your mouth water. Fresh fruit and veg is also available in the village. Great place to explore the area from.

Happy campers

Lovely peaceful and spacious site, with open views and friendly owners. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sue makes the best cream scones I’ve ever tasted 👍.

Peaceful and relaxing site

This site was perfect for our first trip away in our new caravan. It is an enormous level field with EHU and you are able to pitch wherever you want. We had a lovely welcome from Sue and Peter and Sue went out of her way to locate us a gas cylinder when the dealer we bought our van from was unable to provide one. The warm scones that were delivered to our van once we had set up were an added bonus. There is a well-stocked information room with an honesty box and lots of useful items for sale that you may need. The fresh eggs are highly recommended, and we had twice daily visits from Henny Penny who would eat out of our hand, much to the consternation of our terrier! This is definitely a site on our list that we would love to return to.

Lovely peaceful site - a great find

Just spent three nights at Northolme Farm with other family members to basically ‘show them the ropes’ as they are new to caravanning. This is the first time we have used a CL and we all agreed it was a great find. Sue and Pete are very welcoming and friendly, and we received freshly made scones with jam and cream after we had got set up. They were delicious! The site has only been open since last year and it was good to hear Sue and Pete’s vision for the future. Site is very peaceful and pitches are very well spaced out. Toilet is very clean, plenty of hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes and disposable gloves at the communal areas. There are free range chickens who enjoy coming to say hello and their eggs are available to buy in the honesty shop. There are also a few goats and sheep. Lovely walks nearby. We will definitely return, hopefully coinciding with one of the monthly pop-up tea rooms to sample some more of Sue’s baking.
